“Beautiful rooms....”
We had a great visit. The location was great, close to family and friends. Everyone we encountered who worked for the hotel were friendly, bright and extremely helpful. The cafe people were especially tops on our lists.
“lovely hotel, but not exactly convenient to attractions”
The hotel is very nice but the location is not very convenient to the attractions or for food. you have to drive absolutely everywhere, can not even take a walk around the block as there is nothing there. Quite noisy by the freeway. Is not really suited to families.
“Nice Hotel”
Nice hotel with cool and modern lobby area. I checked in at 11 pm and was only there overnight, but I have no complaints. The room was clean. The free wireless was great. The beds could have been more comfortable. I would definitely stay there again if I were traveling to SD for business.
“Marriott need I say more.”
Another quality Marriott, but what else would you expect from a Marriott.
“Not impressed of the location and parking”
Hidden fees. The hotel charges $16.00/day for parking. Hotel has limited parking spaces. Overall rating is good not extremely satisfied. The air condition is too loud. The noise level around the hotel is also loud.
“Nice hotel....but always a little busy”
This was not my first time at this hotel, this was a Holiday Inn a few years ago. Every time I've stayed there has also been either soccer teams or football teams staying in the hotel as well. The first time I stayed I was awake half the night. This time there were kids all over the place. I'm sure the hotel can't help who makes reservations, but it doesn't make things noisy. Also, they added a $16.00 parking fee per night which I didn't expect....and didn't like. The hotel is nice and clean just too noisy and busy whenever I stay.
“Comfortable and relaxing.”
Although there on a couples' vacation, this business hotel was a nice place to spend a week. Nice to have a wall-mounted thermostat to control the A/C - which allowed the room to cool right down. Wished the breakfast was included or at least somewhat affordable for those of us who aren't writing off our meals expenses for work. I drove 5 minutes to get bagels and jamba juice every morning.
“Half Full or Half Empty?”
Courtyard has a tough choice - typical business environment or family environment? For business - mtg rooms, internet access, location all good. Usual breakfast buffet or continental not available, likely due to large contingents of families or sports teams, not so good. Microwave for either group is a $10/nt chg - pushing the limit. Bedding not that comfortable - tossed & turned the first night on rough linens. No exhaust fan in bathroom for steam or .... Also the air conditioning had no way to adjust the fan speed, therefore itis very loud at night when trying to stay cool. Clearly was a remodeled older hotel trying to provide business suites, although nicely done, still missed some of the details. Family environment - OK. Either way - not worth the $$$ for a Sunday.
“Sunny San Diego”
Hotel was great. It was clean, and very quiet. Couldn't hear any noise next door or in the hallway. Staff seemed to know when i would be out because even when i left for short periods of time they still managed to sneak in and clean my room very well which was was very big for me. I hate a dirty hotel!
“Excellent stay”
The only inconvenient thing about this hotel is the fact that there is no breakfast. You have to buy it from the rather expensive restaurant in the lobby. Other than that it was a great place. Clean and friendly.
