“Average”
The location of hotel is hard to find. Breakfast was Ok, Eggs was watery. Rooms were clean, but Hallway had a musty smell.
“Overall hotel nice.”
Nice room and breakfast good too but the only negative thing is the parking fee.
“very basic 2 star”
Even though we had a suite, room was small (narrow). Sleeper couch was ripped up (my 6 year old won't sit on it). They claimed hotel was recently re-done, but I was not impressed. The bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen. The room had a very strong smell of either some kind of cleaning product or air freshing product. It was not a nice smell, and you don't notice it as much after a few minutes, but whenever you enter the room, you notice it immediately. Included breakfast was not bad, parking was very easy, and wifi was free.
“Will not go back!!!”
Very slow service. They charge you to park per night not included in the price of room. Not nearly enough elevators. Small cramped breakfast room with not so good food. VERY small bath area. Pullout couch in room was disgusting. The leather was peeling and it was sticky. Didn't even sit on it. Old bedding. Will not go back.
“Comfortable Room at a great price”
I was in San Diego for a convention. Hotel was a 15 min drive to the convention; very easy to get to and from. The positives are very comfortable bed, good size room, clean room and parking was good too. Negatives - the bathroom light and vanity lights were too dim which made it difficult to put on makeup. The breakfast was good - so many items to choose. I would stay here again.
“Would definitely stay there again”
The room was clean, the front desk was helpful, the breakfast was more than we expected. The location to what we wanted to do was very good and it was affordable. We would stay there again.
“Would definitely stay here again.”
Many positive things about this hotel: good sized rooms, huge bathroom with good water pressure in shower, refrig. in room, newly refurbished, entire place was nice and clean, new TV, very comfy bed, seemed well insulated for sound - no noise problems. Great breakfast, always well stocked. Staff very friendly. Easy freeway access, close to everything but nothing in walking distance except great steak place right next door. Got a great price on the rooms through an Expedia special. No problems with the reservations. The whole trip/experience was great, plus the Packers won!
“Great Family Hotel”
We stayed here for 6 nights in November 2011 and it was a great home base for our family of 4's daily excursions to Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, the San Diego Safari Park, and museums at Balboa Park. The rooms were spotlessly clean (and I own a vacation rental agency), recently renovated to a high standard, spacious, and breakfast and internet were included in the great rate. We jogged on the Ocean Beach Bike Path most mornings- it starts right next to the hotel, and you can go 4 miles (each way) to Ocean Beach, if you want. Hotel parking is $8/day- we had 2 cars and parked one on the street for free- there's plenty of on-street parking right next to the parking lot. Stalls in the parking area are quite small, so maneuvering a minivan or SUV can be a little challenging. I was really impressed at the always smiling, hardworking, breakfast staff that kept the breakfast room immaculate for the 3 hours each morning that it was open (6:30am-9:30am). Everything was always re-stocked instantly and kept spotless. Ask for a pool-facing room away from the elevator- the breakfast room is on the 4th floor, so rooms near the elevator on the 4th floor will get noise from guests headed to breakfast early in the morning. Rooms on the 4th (top) floor away form the elevator are probably the quietest since there are no rooms above you. This is a great affordable hotel for families visiting the San Diego area!
“Great place to stay in San Diego!”
We were in town for the Chargers game & decided to stay the night at the last minute. I was quite pleased with the Comfort Inn & Suites. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. Even had a flat screen TV. And the breakfast was a nice treat! Wasn't expecting anything more than coffee & doughnuts. But there was a nice selection of breakfast items. Plus it's right off of the freeway and close to a lot of tourist destinations. Would definately come back!
“Great value for money”
Very comfortable room and easy access to all of San Diego's attractions. Complimentary breakfast great when traveling with young kids. Were able to accommodate 5 to a room with 2 Queen beds and a pull out sofa. The pool looked great but wew ran out of time to use! Fantastic value for money. Would return in a heart beat.
