“Great Location! Professional, courteous, helpful staff! Excellent hotel & great value!”

I had never visited San Diego before and was pleased when I realized the hotel is located in a lively part of the city with numerous restaurants, a movie theatre, Ghirardelli's ice cream & chocolate shop (yum!) and small shops, CVS, etc. to pick up snacks. The biggest plus for me was that it's within walking distance to the Convention Center, where I attended a business conference. The hotel was clean, well-lit, my room was immaculate, and the desk and cleaning staff were pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay at the Comfort Inn Gaslamp again without hesitation.

“restaurants really close”

Good location, BUT they put me in an inside room with a view of a wall and a dead pigeon....there are beams that connect the walls and they have metal spikes to keep the pigeons off the beams....well one pigeon didn't get it and was spiked dead on the beam just outside my window...it was there when I checked in, would of been bad if I had kids to see this....

“Quaint”

Comfort Inn Gaslamp is a quaint hotel, conservatively price, right in the middle of Gaslamp district. It is only a 10 minute walk to the convention center, and the harbor walk. Yes, the rooms are small, but they are packed full of conveniences (coffee maker, micro wave and a fridge). The breakfast included with my stay was better than anticipated. I would definitely stay there again.

“desk staff was very unfriendly”

room was not waht i booked so I had to get a roll a way . Than they had no extra pillows to go with that . the housekeeping staff was nice . Breakfast was terriffic . The desk staff were so bad that I would not treturn to this locatio. Most had badges on that said they had been there over 4 years. I dont see how.

“booked it again”

i enjoyed my stay and the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. great location to convention center and gaslamp district. convenient to all public transportation. i will book it again for a vacation.
