“Fabulous Luxurious Hotel for Romance or Family”

My husband and I spent our first trip to San Diego at the Catamaran for our ten-year anniversary. Everything was fabulous and I don't have a single complaint. It was a very romantic setting within the hotel. Everything to do was in walking distance or a quick cab ride. The hotel had a great town car service for the same price as a taxi which was very nice to enjoy and to have someone to ask about the best local places to check out.

“Great place, great location”

Beautiful setting, like being in a tropical environment. Exceptionally well maintained. Great food at the hotel restaurant. Walking distance to everything; ocean beaches, bay beaches, shops, food, and the neighborhood range of home styles.

“Top Notch Resort in a Convenient Location”

We decided to stay at the Catamaran Resort after reading reviews in Expedia (which were spot on). We were on a week vacation in the San Diego area with my 13 year old daughter. There was plenty to do. Quick car trips to the Zoo, Aquarium, La Jolla, great restaurants. Walking distance to the Pacific Ocean. Spa was newly renovated - Gorgious! Nice workout gym attached/ free for guests. Grounds were immaculate. Rooms were clean and relatively quiet. Exotic birds located on the grounds were fun to interact with. "World Famous Restaurant" was delicious. Go early or you will have a long wait. "Eggery" for breakfast had great smoothies. "Fresh" in La Jolla was trendy and delicious. "Jordan's" was trendy, delicious and a great spot to eat while watching the sunset. Cold Stone Ice Cream located down the block from the hotel. Catamaran Resort was located in a very motivating spot to exercise and eat healthy, since everyone around was doing it! Viewing the surfers was a memory we will never forget. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

“A BIG yes”

I would definetely recommend this hotel to anyone SanDiego bound. it's convinence to both bay and ocean is a big plus. It is also in the midst of good food and some shopping. I also liked the fact it was close to the famous San diego zoo the train station and the airport. All personnel I encountered were very curtious and helpful. My only neg comment is,I felt the dining room food was a little pricey, but happy hr bar food ok prices.

“Loved it!”

The location was great! We had a view of Mission Bay from our balcony and the walk to Pacific beach was less than a block away. The resort had a nice tropical feel to it and our 5 year old just loved the fish and the birds that lived on the property! Nice heated pool and hot tub too! The service was great and we enjoyed the free cruise to the sister resort. Just below our balcony was some grass which hosted a variety of parties throughout the weekend (weddings, galas, etc.) we enjoyed the music and entertainment which never ran past 9:30pm, but I suppose others might enjoy the peace and quite better.

“Can't wait to go back”

Upon arrival we were told that the room we requested (two beds) was not available but were quick to solve the problem and upgraded us to a hospitality suite. We visit San Diego often but had never stayed in this resort after our stay we have decided that we will only stay at this resort. Great location, great spa and gym, fun for the kids, beautiful grounds.

“Nice location, tropical touches”

This hotel is in a fantastic location with a calm, quiet beach on one side of the peninsula, and a fun beach with big waves and sporty beachgoers on the other. The hotel has a great jungle-tropical theme with real parrots kept on the grounds, waterfalls and ponds, and lush vegetation. The building from the outside appears dated, but we were quite happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel.
