“Great location, awesome view!”

Capri was right in the middle of everything. With a rental car, we were only a short drive from everywhere we wanted to go (the Zoo, downtown, La Jolla, Seaworld, Coronado, etc.). Parking is free - which is a huge plus. We were right on the beach and had beautiful views of the sunsets every night. The room was clean and having a kitchen was great, we saved a ton of money that way! The only negative was it's not like a typical hotel: no room or maid service and no conceirge, but this was fine for us because we did our research and were pretty self reliant! I definitely recommend Capri by the Sea!

“Capri Room 607”

Stayed for 4 days in condo 607 at the Capri. As always, best view imaginable. Parking spot was really bad, too narrow unless you are driving a motorcycle, otherwise great condo! Updated and clean, wife didnt care for the bed but it was ok. Pans in kitchen need replacing, the teflon is coming off, might even be harmful of swallowed. Also, more cleaning supplies would be nice, dishwasher soap etc...

“Capri needs a facelift”

We had a great stay mainly due to loction. Unit was clean but is in need of new living room and bedroom furniture and linens. Kitchen was not sufficient stocked for 4 people. Rooftop and BBQ were great but it needed a 2nd picnic table. Other than security, Capri had not staff to help tourist. A concierge service would be nice (i.e., for diretions, dining recommendations, cab serivce, etc. Overall, I would recommend based on location and price. I would consider again if they changed it to dog-friendly.

“Going to San Diego? DONT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!”

I travel for work and I stay in a hotel at least 1-2 nights a week. I went to San Diego on Business and made a weekend trip out of it. I went online and The Capri By The Sea came up. I thought maybe staying in a condo would be a little quieter than a hotel. Folks let me tell you that I am in the Juvenile industry and I can promise you I dont work for this company. I am also not compensated in any way. Here comes my review of the Capri By The Sea. DONT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE! I can honestly tell you that there isnt anything better in San Diego. The family and I felt at home. It's right on the beach and has the most breath taking views. There isnt even a little complaint about this place. I cannot think of anything negative. Very clean inside and out. Completely a wonderful experience and I cant wait until I can go again. PLEASE BELIEVE ME!!! There isnt anything better.

Location, location, location--and comfort too! I doubt we'll stay anywhere else in future San Diego visits.

Overall, we had a nice family vacation at Capri by the Sea. he location is excellent and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The boardwalk is a fantastic place to spend time. However, the specific condo that we were in was quite dated and not clean. Food was left in the fridge from the previous occupants, there were food wrappers under the couch, sesame seeds on the carpet, and the vents in the bathroom were covered with dust. The furniture was quite worn and dirty. If it had been clean and up-to-date, I would highly recommend this as a great family vacation spot, however, I don't feel comfortable recommending it because of the cleanliness.

“Great San Diego Location”

Overall, place is great! Every nt going to sleep hearing the surf crashing, waking up to hundreds of surfers below your window. There's a rooftop patio w/ grills & tables- spectacular view. Staff were quiet, but polite-helpful when needed. Location is rt on boardwalk for easy walking to local haunts-The Green Flash was a place we'd heard about & it's just a short walk. This is a very young neighborhood-mostly 20-somethings, students, surfers-not a lot of families that we could see. Clearly a young, single, hip area-mostly locals-this may appeal to some. We didn't mind & we're a family of five with a 9-year-old son & 7-yr-old boy/girl twins. My husband & I are mid-40s & we did feel old! W/ regard to the towels, there's a laundry room on every floor ($1 in quarters to wash & $1 in quarters to dry). Just wash your own! We did buy beach towels on the boardwalk which worked out fine, use them/take them home as souvenirs. The kitchen was adequate-clean, all amenities that you'd need-you will need to buy dishsoap, sponge, papertowels. My biggest complaint was the condition of the bedding-sheets were not fitted, but were flat & did not fit the beds, blankets were wrong size, comforters were in shreds & looked over a decade old. With a view like this, you'd expect decent bedding. It wouldn't take alot of money to replace these & it'd be a huge improvement. I can only speak of the specific condo we stayed in-maybe others are different. Location great to see sights in San Diego.
