“great off season deal”

This is the second time we have stayed at the Island Palms and were very satisfied both times. Extremely convenient to just about anything in San Diego.

“Perfect for our family of 5”

We have three small children, ages 10,8, and 5 and brought them to San Diego to see Legoland and the zoo. We were surprised at how convenient the hotel was to all the sites in the area. It is beautifully situated between the bay and the marina. The suite was perfect for our stay (5 nights) with a small kitchen and living room. We loved the heated pool and hot tub and jumped in each evening after our day of sightseeing.

“Good value for money”

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and were very satisfied with the room , location and also the wonderfull marina and Bay where it is located. The restaurant service for the evenings though could be much better. We waited 45 minutes for our main course and requests were not followed up correctly. But in general we had a lovely stay in SD.

Extremely good hotel, wonderful views, courteous staff, couldn't have asked for more. The room smelt so good once we enterreed and everything was top notch.

The Best Western Island Palms Hotel is situated in a beautiful setting. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the room was beautiful. I've booked this hotel for a region meeting with my company and I'm also looking forward to returning with my family for vacation again.

“Perfect vacation spot”

We stayed here for 4 nights - got a good deal on Expedia and were extremely satisfied with out stay. The room was quiet with the view of the bay, mattress had dual control for softness/hardness of the bed that each person could adjust to their liking. Nice size bathroom, two lovely heated swimpools and jaccuzzies with an outdoor fireplace nearby and lanterns in the evening, open until 11 pm. Free bikes for rent and a tennis court. Location was convenient to everything - few mintues from downtown, pretty much in the middle of it all just without the noise and hustle of a busy downtown. Service was very good and the food at the restaurant surprisingly delishious and reasonably priced. The only thing that could be improved is the size of the closet - very tiny, coffin-like and the lack of drawers to put the cloths in, but plenty of room on the floor for the luggage.

“Best Western Island Palms”

The Queen suite was roomy enough for our family of 5. The kitchenette is a nice feature, and included a full size refrigerator, range top, and microwave. The view of the marina was very nice. The location is great. Shelter Island is quiet, and conveniently located to all of the attractions. The staff was friendly, particularly Danny on the day staff at the front desk. Overall, we were pleasantly surprized, and extremely satisfied.

“Great Hotel! Will always stay here when coming to San Diego”

Great hotel. Wonderful service. We had a suite and it was like a 1 bedroom hotel. Great view! Perfect for family trips with kids. Poos was perfect. Drinks were great. Staff was very wonderful and helpful.
