The hotel room had extremely loud plumbing valves surrounded by it. This caused me and my husband to wake up all throughout the night. When we brought it to the staff’s attention, they said it would be fixed in the morning. (Never got fixed). Complained the next day at check out and provided videos of the noise. She said she would have the supervisor call me, and that never happened. Waste of money in my opinion. Also the bathrooms are so small you have to tuck yourself in a corner to close the door. I will be sure my family and I never stay here again.

We loved the big room, comfy beds, fantastic coffee machine in breakfast area - every kind of coffee imaginable, terrace with comfy chairs to relax or watch sunset, very friendly stuff. What we did not like - so many steps to get upstairs, for us seniors citizens was tough to drag our luggage to a room on a second floor. But I'm sure when asked, stuff can help with any difficulties you might experience. All in all: we are definitely coming back!

I love the location of this hotel. 2 mins walk and youre at the beach. Very close to great restaurants. The guest lounge is the best, you can hangout while waiting for the sun to set. Couple of things, rooms are outdated and the hallways arent stroller friendly. Overall we loved our stay. Staffs are so welcoming and friendly. Great location. Pretty wide selection of breakfast.

Nice hotel. Have to pay for your parking on the hotel property. Room cleaning was not the greatest. Had to call front desk to schedule a room clean with fresh towels. Would stay again. Great view of ocean for sunset.

My second time staying here… the staff is consistently and exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is perfect across from the Carlsbad Beach and Seawall walk. Comfortable and homey environment. The free breakfast is excellent and the view is outstanding!

The room was your standard 2 queen bed room. We were there during Hurricane Hilary and the window leaked some rain into the room during the heaviest of the storm. The staff was super nice and promptly moved to us to a different room so they could repair the damage. They were also very accomodating with my two 4 year olds. They had beach toys and towels to lend us! Would definitely stay again.

Great location! Right across from the beach & walking distance to entire village 👍 Rooms are not fancy but comfortable and spacious. Daily, complimentary breakfast is well-stocked and has a large selection of things to choose from . Large balcony with chairs overlooking the ocean is a nice place to relax, as is the fire pit .

I was very surprised to discover that housekeeping is reserved only for those who stay 5 days or more. I left a tip for housekeeping and returned to find that nothing was done in the room except fresh towels left on a chair and trash emptied. Nothing else was cleaned and beds were not made. Last time I stayed at a motel housekeeping was done daily.

The location of this property is fantastic. You can easily walk into the village or along the ocean. There are great public areas for having breakfast with a view and outdoor areas for swimming, sitting around the fire or watching the sunset. The electrical grid is inadequate. One morning, I plugged in the Keurig machine and blew a fuse. No one could seem to figure out what was wrong even after we had gone out for breakfast. The same thing happened the next morning in the breakfast area. Our last day the power went off in the room again when I turned on the hair dryer. If you have trouble with stairs, nothing is on one level even on the same floor, so it is hard to get around. Parking is a nightmare because the stalls are few and quite narrow, and you have to pay additional for it.

Great property. It’s a bit dated but the staff is great!! Very friendly and accommodating. I wish this place had a hot tub. Would be great for after being at the beach all day. Breakfast is great!
