“Fun for New Year's Eve”

A quaint little place with apartment type rooms. About 40 steps to the boardwalk overlooking the ocean. Beautiful! Walking distance to everything in P.B. I would go back again in a heart beat.

“Comfortable,Friendly and Convienent”

My wife and I stayed a wonderful five nights at Beach Haven Inn. Considered a budget priced accommodation, the building is obviously older, though it is quite apparent they take pride in what they have to offer their guests and have made repairs and upgrades as needed. Our room was clean and we slept well on our comfortable bed. The large shower had no problems with hot water or water pressure. The pool and hot tube are well kept and clean. We found all the staff to be polite and friendly. One of our main considerations when choosing Beach Haven Inn was location, and we were not disappointed! It is about two minutes walking distance to the beach and the boardwalk, and is on Mission Blvd. with its shopping, restaurants and nightlife. We found no need to use our vehicle the six days we were there. We recommend that if you are looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly and convenient place to stay, while visiting Pacific Beach & Mission Beach, that is also well priced for the area, then Beach Haven Inn should be considered.

my second or third time i have stayed there, i will make every effort to stay there every time i visit san diego. very friendly and accommidating staff. great location in pacific beach and very comfortable... i hate leaving everytime i stay there.

“great location”

the best thing about beach haven inn was that it was one block from the beach! it's an older hotel, but very well maintained. the only problem we had was that the air conditioner dripped inside the room. it didn't really concern us much, we had the windows open most of the time we were in the room, which wasn't much. there's so much to see and do in the area. my favorite place was the beach. the front office people were very helpful, especially with directions. we would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

“I was impressed!!”

I was expecting just another "beach community" hotel. I've been to several hotels on or near the beach, and they are all usually the same: small dirty room. This place was not the usual beach hotel. The room was amazingly bigger than I expected, having a full kitchen and eating area, a separate living room and bedroom, 2 closets, and a decent sized bathroom. Althigh I didn't use them, the pool and hottub looked clean and in good shape. The hothel is less than a block from the beach, which would usually mean parking problems, but that is not a problem due to the reserved parking. I never had a problem getting a parking spot in the 4 days and 3 nights of my stay. For the age of the property, I was very impressed. The only negative comment I can think of is that the walls are somewhat thin, but it wasn't anything that bothered us. I would highly recomend the Beach Haven Inn.

“Close to the beach”

This place was very close to the beach, food and shopping. Our car sat in the parking lot as everything is within walking distance. Cozy and comfy suite, felt like being at home. Room was very clean but needs a more modern makeover. Friendly and helpful staff. For the price and location this was an excellent place to stay. We will definitely return again.

“Another Rough Diamond”

We enjoyed our stay overall. The beach was in walking distance and the view once there was awesome. The beds were very soft and comfortable. My youngest didn't want to get out of the bed because it felt so good. I was on his page of course. I value good sleep. The building was old and the walls were very thin. Our first night was interrupted by drunkards coming back from where ever they got drunk at. They were outside but it was so loud it sounded like they were at our door. That was a little scary at 3 am. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The boys swam in the heated pool and the staff was very courteous. When I checked out they gave me a little conpensation for our woes.

“Beach Haven awesome location”

The Good, Beach Haven is 1 block from the beach, where you can rent bikes and other stuff, there are alot of Restaurants and Bars, and shopping as well. You can take a walk or play in the sand, volleyball nets are all over the place. The Hotel is good for the price, so if your looking for a cheap and clean place, this is awesome. I loved the location. The Staff is great, they will work with you. Rooms are clean. Wireless and kitchenette came with the Suite which is nice. Has a pool and spa in center of hotel property. Pretty much everything you need is all within walking distance. Yes i would book again because of the location and price. The bad, Hot water ran out since it was an older hotel that was expected. They just need to upgrade their hot water system, still on a Water Heater 50gal for every 3-4 rooms. You can hear your neighbors which is also expected with older hotels. So if you can put up with all that its not bad. Again for the price and location it was a great deal.

“Nothing Special”

Cheap room compared to the other hotels in the area... room was clean, but the bathroom had moldy baseboards. lots of night noise and random people digging for trash.
