I attended a conference, which was organized in this hotel. This place has everything what is needed for this type of event, including weddings. I loved the design of the room, modern and classy. It was newly renovated so everything was brand new, but I am sure other rooms look very similar. You can smell freshness in the hallways. Hotel Staff was extremely nice.
It was my second stay in Staybridge. I had a choice, but wanted to stay here again after I spent 2 weeks in September. Hotel is going above and beyond the call of duties to make your stay pleasant.
Complimentary hot breakfast is great and 3-4 days a week, the hotel serves a very nice dinner snack with complimentary wine.
When I am in San Diego, this is my hotel of choice.
This hotel is in a great location. Right across the street from Legoland(you can walk) and the flower fields are right there. Beautiful hotel and easy on/off of the interstate 5. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious and the kids had their own room and beds which they loved. One double and one twin bed. There was also a pull out couch in the living room. Everything was clean and the kitchen had all the things you needed to make a dinner or two. The only thing I was disappointed with was that parts of the hotel were closed off or under construction, which I wish Expedia had warned us about. My boys were disappointed that they couldn't use the basketball court or part of the kid pool where the little slide is. Other than that, they offer a ton of activities. There was a weekly calendar that was handed to us with all the activities they offered. We(the adults) attended a wine event one night and other activities included xbox kinect competition, ping pong tournament, and some daily trips to different places and more. I wanted to stay at the resort and do more but we had other things planned around SoCal. But if you need a downtime day, there are lots of things planned there for the kids to do. I was pretty impressed. I loved the adult pool and hot tubs/fire pits they had just for adults. The restaurant next to the hotel was very good. Karl Strauss Brewery. Highly recommend the restaurant and the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is in a great location. Walking distance of several bars and restaurants. Most importantly it's like one minute from the beach. We got an ocean view room and it was an amazing view. I loved wakeing up to the sounds of waves.
We wanted to see the park and Zoo so being able to walk to those was great. I thought the room was great and really enjoyed being able to relax and make breakfast in the small kitchen in the mornings. The rest of the room was funky and we liked it. We paid for the valet parking which was fine since it was expected. WiFi was $5 a day which was annoying but didn't kill the rest of the experience. Balboa park has free WiFi if you are desperate to save a couple of dollars. I thought the staff were awesome and very personable. Thank you for a great stay.
