We arrived at 11p from Detroit, Michigan. We got to the grounds of the hotel and it was CLOSED!! Totally shut down. We had no warning and Expedia never notified me. I had to scramble to find another hotel in the area. We ended up at the Hilton Garden near the Riverwalk. Which was closer to the Alamo and other attractions.

Its not a 4 star hotel, I will give less stars. It wasn’t clean :( a lot of hairs and a used shower cap in the bath.

Disappointing Stay
Upon arrival, we were informed that the Bar and Restaurant was closed, no mention of this before arrival. We could order food from stores around for delivery and pick up in the lobby. No cleaning services during our stay and if we required service we would have to leave the room for a minimum of 3 hours. No Valet parking, not a big deal but $24 a day self parking fee was a little surprising especially since it was very hiding in the other information about the hotel. Reqeusted a room with a walk in shower and we got a bathtub that was dirty, mildew on the tile and ceiling. The Bed and room were clean but old spring uncomfortable mattresses. Tried to get a Massage at the hotel, and our scheduled arranged massage no called no showed twice on us.

Pick a better hotel in San Antonio
Hotel was completely empty and when I say empty, I mean no one was hardly there and the lobby/bottom floor was pretty much closed. Gift shop was closed and they only had breakfast on Sat/Sun and it was just grab and go store bought muffins. The $150 - $200 deposit hold on the room was ridiculous when most are $50. Very outdated, rooms were ehh for the price that was paid. Hotel is in a decent location, was able to walk to Riverwalk. The street level though is a little sketchy in places at certain times. I’d much rather stay at the other Wyndham Garden or just another hotel. I don’t recommend this one.

The worst 4 star hotel ever been too.
The trip was horrible doing the fact the hotel did not clean rooms until you check the out. I stayed there 4 days which is 3 nights. Nothing is open no breakfast was accommodated. No free parking even though there was nothing open. Rooms do not have refrigerator or microwave. No entertainment . No maps giving out to the people that stay there. Front end is rude. They charge you $25 per day to Park your car in the garage. They charge you $6 for a bottle of water. There are no staff no nothing all there is is front and they do not have valet parking. In the rooms are small. I felt like I was staying at a Motel 6

Worst hotel & service ever. Room was freezing cold night 1; scorching hot night 2; room wasn’t cleaned; & new room for night 3 wasn’t ready when I returned - at midnight; Staff did nothing to make it better - & took no responsibility. Zero customer service effort at the management level. Bar/restaurant/room service closed - & no note about that on Expedia. No fridge in room so no way to bring your own food. Lobby hasn’t been updated ever - vintage 1970s. Stay elsewhere. Anywhere else.

Es un hotel viejo, sin remodelaciones recientes, cerrado todos los servicios por la pandemia, (entendible) solo funciona como cuarto para dormir, (cumple su objetivo) no hay contacto de personal de limpieza en toda la estancia, cosa que es bueno en este momento, estacionamiento muy caro, pues si no hay otros servicios deberían compensar su costo. Chequen bien las advertencias antes de contratar.

The front desk staff was nice. We stayed two days. Not once did housekeeping come during our stay. Terrible amenities for the price. If you want a mini fridge you have to ask for it. It does not come standard with the room. And essentially everything else comes with a fee as well. Which was very disappointing for the price we paid and that it’s a 4 star hotel. I expected so much more. But honestly, I’ve had better experiences at much cheaper 2 and 3 star hotels. We will not be returning.

Thank you for your feed back. Yes, our restaurant and additional amenities are either closed or limited due to Covid. We want to maintain the cleanest and healthiest environment possible based on our management, brand, and CDC requirements.

I would say overall it was not a bad experience. However there were a few things that i believe can be improved upon. 1. Dont hide the deposit in fine print. I budgeted my trip based on the final price & what I thought parking would be and I had a huge shock when I realized I was charged a extra $100. 2. The person who checked me in failed to tell me where the big parking garage was, so I was left to push into a tiny spot in the old garage. The staff the next morning was much friendlier and helpful than the night shift staff. 3. The rooms are very dated, there's not even a fridge, for the price of the rooms, i expected it to be a little more modern. The wood was chipped, there were small stains on the ceiling of the bathroom. That being said, i wasn't totally displeased and the concierge made up for a lot of dissapointments with their friendliness. I might stay at the new condos next time.

Don’t waste your time or money here! You have to pay for small parking spaces & the parking garage does not have elevators, which we were not told about before hand. We had to walk down 4 stories with a baby & toddler. We were also not told that you would be charged for parking, the website said free parking. The extra small fridge was sitting on the floor with the microwave (that did not work) on top of it. the sheets had stains on them, so gross!! The pool was nice but you have to walk up stairs to get to it.

Very Disappointed
Our first room was dirty, the sticker on the door was not sealed. As if someone enter the room, stains on the carpet, Urine on the base of toilet, crumbs on the floor, coffee splash on night stand, hair in shower. The Hotel clerk switch our room, which was great but still was dingy, more hair in shower. Very disappointed about the parking, you have no choice but to pay for park 26.99 for overnight parking. There is no other option for free parking. Suggest you should give free parking to Hotel guest, since your gift shop, and restaurant are closed.

Whatever you do make sure you DO NOT STAY at this location! Extremely bad service, crew members are very rude, and they don't even have parking. They charge you parking per night but the parking garage is a block away and you park it yourself. On a very rainy weekend and with young children this is a huge inconvenience.

Hello, Yes our hotel does charge a daily parking fee, when compared to the market you would find this to be very reasonable for the downtown area. We have our very own parking garage with a private walk-way tunnel that provides shelter from all of the elements. We're sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay, we hope to be able to offer all of our amenities in the near future.
