“Good location”

It was so easy to move around San Antonio because a freeway is a few steps from the hotel.

“Service is great!”

We had a great 3 day stay at this hotel, the hotel is undergoing some renovations and additions but otherwise the service was great. The staff was very helpful to us,as we had a late check in (4 am), with directions to Lackland AFB and downtown. Our room was always clean and the housekeeping staff is honest. (we had forgotten to take some cash with us and it was still on the table right where we had left it)Breakfast is included with the room and it was a full breakfast with eggs and toast etc. It is just your basic emmenities but was great for what we needed it for (sleeping and breakfast).

“Reasonable”

We stayed there for two nights and visited sea world, Alamo and river walk. Staff were friendly. Free break fast was decent, had several choices including fresh fruits. Even though it is off of highway 10, our room was at the rear side and sound was not an issue. Building is aged, almost all power points are loose and appeared a safety concern to me. Even though it claims to be pet-free, we could clearly hear barking sounds from one of the rooms. It had microwave oven, refrigerator, ironing board, supply of soap, shampoo etc. Worked out pretty well for us, my kids liked it. We are likely to consider staying in our future trips.

“It will do in a pinch.”

The room was a little small for 4 people. But, considering the price and the location to the Medical Center, it suited our needs just fine. I would consider staying here again if the need should arise.

“Not What I Expected”

Based on pictures from Expedia expected a more quaint, homey atmosphere. Hotel was run-down and needed maintenance. First room was unacceptable.. dark and smelled. Had been told there were no other rooms available but one was 'found' when I went back up to the front. Front desk was good about other requests, i.e. more coffee packs. Maid service was good. Access to highway not the best. OK if looking for an inexpensive place for a couple of days.

“Staff was friendly, good pool, hot breakfast was nice, rooms were not the best”

The room was not the best. There was a problem with the toilet and we finally just kept the plunger. Beds were pretty hard. The staff was always available if there was a problem and they were friendly and courteous. The pool was nice and the hot breakfast was good each day. Microwave and fridge in the room were handy. It was not the best part of town but the Walmart and shopping within walking distance was nice. It was fairly easy to get to the hotel despite a lot of road construction.

“Good-except”

We stayed for 12 days and killed at least 1 cock roach on 10 of those days.(Room #255) The room was adequate with a microwave & fridge but it seemed as the days went by service to the room declined. Poorly cleaned, lack of towels,no bag for ice bucket, etc. Desk staff were very friendly and enjoyed the breakfast selections and the area it was situated in. Very clean and well looked after.
