Children under 12 years old are not allowed in the swimming pool without adult supervision.

“second visit and cant wait for the 3rd”
This hotel/resort is fantastic the staff are great the food delicious entertainement is wonderful I went last year with 3 of us but went back this year with 5 of us not one of the 5 can find fault with anything and we are all looking forward to going back next year.
“Would return in a heartbeat!”
The hotel was everything we could have asked for. The grounds are beautiful. We have been to both Puerto Plata and Punta Cana and truly the grounds at this hotel are superior to both. Very relaxing and beautiful. If you are a shopper or require evening entertainment off site, this hotel is not for you. However, if you are going on vacation to relax in a paradise, then go to Grand Paradise Samana.
“My scape to the paradise!”
I went to this Hotel on May 16th until May 19th, 2009. It was just amazing! The beach is so beautiful!! It is a calm place, clean, lovely weather. The hotel staff is very friendly, and the night shows are just spectacular!! pretty good entertaiment during the entire day. The food was nice. My vacations there were totally worth it!!! I would like to go back again!
“a pretty nice place for a family”
hotel was nice - buffet was mostly OK. I would strongly recommend making a reservation at Michelangalo or Seascape early - food there is great, at no extra cost, but hard to get a reservation - villas were comfortable for a family of 4, kids liked the separate loft beds - lost all water there for 1 day (burst central pump) - lots of things to do with the kids - we enjoyed mini-golf, cycling, canoeing, foozball and billiards !

This hotels was quite cheap, so the food was not too good.
“Serious downgrade”
The hotel is rated as a four star resort- when it is actually a 2 Star. Too much algae on the beach, easy fix they should rake in the morning- then the beach would be more presentable. A larger variety of drinks- there is a list of drinks that they serve. And they do not make what is NOT on the list. When we first got to the room the toilet was running, sink would not drain, and shower broke. The shows were also very bad. SUGGESTION: visit a four star resort and pay attention. The only thing nice was the views, the beaches, and the activities.
“Vacation in Las Galeras”
When we got there, the reception staff had a conflict with the voucher information. One of the person coming with us is 15y/o. The staff wanted to charge us extra money, apparently in DR a 15 y/o is an adult, the voucher stated that a 15 y/o is a child. The food was tasteful, however, during the breakfast there was not variety, everyday was the same. The hotel area is very clean. Most of the staff are friendly. Overall i would recommend the hotel, Samana and the surround area are very spectacular, i would recommend the ZIP-LINING and CAYO LEVANTADO.
“This hotel has a lot to improve”
I went with my family and a bunch of friends to this hotel, and it was disgusting, they used to turn off the A/C from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and it was extremely hot, the food was good, buffet style, the service of the reception not very helpful, however the waiters and other entertainers were very friendly and helpful, but I regret I did not listened to a friend who have been working in resorts for a long time, who recommended me to go in punta cana to the Riu. if you go for the money that is ok. but if you can afford something better do not go there and you will be happy you did not go.
