“Best of Austrian and American Values!”

This hotel combined the spaciousness of an American hotel chain with the charm and elegance of an Austrian hotel. We had a huge room with a spacious bathroom. The bed was a typical northern European confection of soft downy pillows and snuggly blankets. The location was wonderful, within walking distance of the train station, with several cafes, restaurants, an indoor shopping center, and even a coin laundry in the blocks between the hotel and the station. Even some of the sights in town, such as the Mirabell Garten or the river, were in walking distance for those willing to venture farther afield. Or, at the train station, one could catch a bus or taxi for anywhere in the city. The hotel staff spoke perfect English and were most helpful. Breakfast was not included at the rates available on Expedia, but was offered in several tiers from "Continental" to "Full," depending on one's preference. The pool and fitness center were relaxing. We chose this hotel halfway through our trip, as a reward for ourselves. We would heartily recommend that anyone wanting to indulge themselves a bit while travelling choose this same reward!

“Will return”

Professional business, from facilities to personnel. Reception staff was friendly and helpful with every request. Lives up to expectations for the trade name.

“Highly recommended”

Although the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment on the ground floor it didn't cause too much disturbance - the staff were friendly & the beds are soooo comfortable! My kids and I used the pool which they loved, all the areas were clean & well maintained. The only suggestion I would make is that the rooms didn't have tea making facilities which was a shame. We ate in the hotel bar - food was pricey but the standard refected that. Hotel not in the best part of Salzburg but by no means the worst either - took about 15 mins to walk to the centre - nice walk along the river tho.

Location was 2 blocks from Eurorail. Staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. 10 minute bus ride into the heart of Salzburg.

“brilliant hospitality”

Excellent hotel ,superb facilities but does not have own tea and coffee facilities in room.Room service very expensive for drinks, but great swimming pool but a little cold for all the familly. Salsburg is a marvellous place to visit with incredibule sights and friendly people, especially the sound of music tour.

“Great hotel at a great price”

The hotel is a walk from the main train station and a pleasant 20 minute walk along the river to the city. Service was great and staff were very willing to please. The room was big, modern and very clean. There are a lot of places to eat and drink in the area. This was one of the best hotels I stayed at in Europe and it was available at a very good price. Highly recommended!

“Right by the train station”

This is a beautiful modern hotel. GREAT PRICE! Picked it mostly for the location to the train station (about 3 blocks away) also near the bus station, both local and otherwise. Had great walks to the main tourist areas, ate pastries along the way. Don't forget to have the apple strudel when you are in Salzburg. Beautiful city you will enjoy it.

“Wonderful stay in Salzburg.”

The staff were extremely helpful regarding tourist attractions and getting around on public transport. The bed was so comfortable it was a struggle to get out of it in the morning. It was quiet so a good nights rest was had. The only dissapointment was the swimming pool as I had hoped to go for a swim each morning but unfortunately it was too small to do a proper swim in.

“great hotel a little far from sites”

The Hotel was a great location if you are coming in from the main train station. It is only a few blocks away. It is a very big hotel so there is a fair amount of walking to get to the front desk if your room is on the other side. The room we had was really nice and big and the cool air exchange was working well. They do not seem to have the air conditioning that we have over in North America...which is good and bad as it was very hot when we were there 33C. The best is to grab a Salzburg card and you can take the bus from the main station to all the sites so this hotel works quite well. If you want to be where all the action and tourists sites are this is not the hotel for you. We would totally stay here again now that we know the lay of the land and what to see.
