Great location, staff friendly and helpful, rooms over look a great coblestone side street, all activities within a two minute walk.

Really enjoyed our stay, the Hotel is in an excellent position, central to all the attractions. Even with the central location the Hotel was very quiet. The staff were all very helpful and added to our overall enjoyment. Would recommend the Hotel Elefant for a city break.

“Excellent hotel in an Excellent location. The Best!”

We stayed 7 nights at the Elefant and it was a joy. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the public areas large and full of antique styled furniture. The breakfasts were superb, excellent bacon and eggs and as much of the continental food as you could desire. Fresh and well maintained. The location was EXCELLENT. We were going to stay at the Sacher but are very pleased we stayed at the Elefant as it is right in the centre of the Old Town and has the feel and atmosphere of a mozart splendour that lacks elsewhere. The location is simply the best in town! Salzburg is of course full of lovely things to see and do and the surrounding countryside but if you like culture and music and atmosphere then this hotel is better than any in Salzburg. Would we return? What do you think!

“Fantastic experience”

Great location in the heart of Salzburg's old town district. Lots of cafe's and restaurants within walking distance. There's great shopping both name brand and souvenir. It's just a short taxi ride to Salzburg's main train station. The room was smaller in size but the furnishings were nice and it was clean. The front desk and breakfast staff were extremely helpful in all matters.

“A Hidden Gem”

The Hotel Elefant is a wonderful little boutique hotel right in the center of the old town in Salzburg. You can walk to everything. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and provided good advice for local restaurants and things to see and do. Don't forget to ask them about how it came to be call Hotel Elefant because it's a great story. Highly recommend it.

“Could not complain about this hotel at all”

We went for a 3 day break to this hotel at the end of June 2009. I have nothing but praise for the staff and the facilities at this hotel. We just had to walk out of the front door and we were in the shopping area. They gave us a suite as there was three of us when we had just booked a family room. There was free internet which kept our 16 year old daughter happy. The reception staff spoke very good english and had a great knowledge of the area, which was priceless.

“Good Hotel, Great Location,”

This hotel had the friendliest and most helpful staff of our entire trip. The location of the hotel was excellent and the room very clean. It was small but adequate. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was excellent. We were given, on check-in, a coupon that gave us each a free glass of wine if we ate in the hotel restaurant. This turned out to be a good deal.

Excellent hotel right in the heart of the old town in Salzburg. Easy walking distance access to all main sights, friendly helpful staff and clean & comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.

“Perfect location for Salzburg old town”

We stayed at the Hotel Elefant after a weeks skiing in the Tirol for one night before our return flight home. We arrived mid morning and reception staff were very helpful and changed our room allocation so that we could check in immediately. It was a bonus that she had upgraded our room to a suite. We ate in the restaurant which was good value and staff very friendly. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone wanting to be central to the main sights of Salzburg. It's also only a 10 - 15 minute drive to the airport. Taxi cost 13 Euros one way.
