Everything was very good. The staff is friendly and helpful - they held my bags until check-in time. The room was spacious and clean. It’s very easy to walk into town.

It would have been great if they had taken my request to allocate my two rooms next to each other and not on separate floors. I had placed my request months in advance and was disappointed to check-in and see that my son was allocated a different floor from me.

This hotel is at excellent location. Walking distance to downtown Salzburg (5 minutes), yet there is parking in the area. I don't think you can drive to hotels situated in the old town. I was little worried because of some negative reviews here, but the hotel was fine. If you are travelling in summer make sure your room is not facing west. It was very hot in our room in the afternoon and summer is only beginning. I don't think there is AC or fan there.

Excellent Location to access the old city. Parking should be managed better. It is necessary to reserve a parking place beforehand. Reservation of the parking space at the time of the Check-in at 15:00 is too late.

Old, dirty... Just bad... Never again!
Really dirty, really old, really bad... The only good thing about it is the location... But Salzburg is so small that it really isn't worth it.... Go find something somewhere else, cheaper and better! The 10 or 20 min extra walk to the center don't hurt that much. (The staff tried to help and some of them are nice and friendly, but to compensate the poor state of the hotel is a mission impossible) PS: Don't leave your baggage with them after/before check in or check out!! They leave it in a room that is accessible to anyone walking the street, they could get your things and go in seconds... Nobody is there... Nothing is safe!

The one positive about this hotel is the location, few mintes from the center of town. All the rest is terrible, everything is the room was broken, damaged or dirty. Mold in the bathroom and fridge, beds that are really worn out. Parking is also a thing, when the hotel parking is full you are directed to the public parking across the street. No directions at all...it's a 4 story parking with numerous exits and looking for the exit I stimbled upon a lot off homeless people living here at night. Also problems with the bill upon check out, they let me pay for charges already payed and could not contact a manager because it was sunday ? Again only the location is fine but I would never stay here again.

Room on street side was stuffy but opening the window meant putting up with traffic noise. There is no aircon, which is OK in winter but not in September. Staff were superb. Saving grace for this hotel. Clean, functional, close to everything. Try the Vietnamese food stall.

Would recommend it to others.
Location is fantastic, short stroll through the tunnel to the old town. Everything is in walking distance. Great little Vietnamese place about 50m away. Good value.

Nothing. Was very disappointed to find this hotel on Expedia. I go to Expedia.com for all my vacation need but now I have to careful going forward. End up loosing all my money by selecting this hotel.

Property and rooms are outdated. Needed to change rooms because the cigarette smoke from the patio outside was coming into my open window day and night. The exact location isn’t very lovely, but it’s a short walk to the inner city.

This is not a 4 star hotel. This more closely resembles a motel. The pictures are very deceiving. It was incredibly dirty: carpet, walls, bathroom. I would except a 4 star hotel to have shampoo, conditioner and air con at the least - it did not. Sleeping was interesting due to the loud drunk screaming outside my window. In their defense, the staff was very nice and the area for breakfast was nice looking, but this is NOT a 4 star establishment, not even close. For $148 a night I would expect a lot more. I actually checked out early and went to the Holiday Inn across town - a thousand times better. The area is safe and very close to a lot of attractions however, I will give it that.

The rooms are gross, weirdly decorated and too hot. Our room had wallpaper of a giant size strange man on the wall. It needs air conditioning desperately. The cold water stopped working while we were there so we only had super hot water.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is within a short walk to lots of grocery stores, restaurants, the river, and many main sites of the city. Even though my room was facing a busy street, it wasn’t too loud with the windows closed.

Ms. Puppy's customer service is very bad
This morning our family checked out the hotel, but we got bad / rude service by customer service named Ms. Papsy (wearing glasses, nose and earrings) We booked 3 nights for 2 rooms, 1 room for 2 people, 1 room for 3 people , we've paid online in full. When we checked out, we were billed for 1 extra bad 15 x 3 = 45, when we asked, he answered unfriendly as if everything had to be so, we asked for an explanation but answered with a shaking of his head as if we were children small which is easy to deceive. I have already paid for 3 people at a more expensive price, why do I have to pay extra bad again? I am very disappointed and I don't really recommend this hotel. If he has to lay it down in a friendly manner this is very good, but on the contrary he explained very rudely, I'm sure other customers will be disappointed with this kind of service. Until now I have not received an answer why we have to pay extrabed again? Please explain.

Its ok to stay!
Great location, but very basic. It was clean though and for the price absolutely ok. If you are looking for a cheap hotel in a good area close to the old town, then this is a good option!

My experience at this hotel was disappointing. The staff was highly inattentive and not friendly at all. The room and the hallways were not very clean. The bed was fine. They do not provide any toiletries, kettle or fridge in the room which is something I expect even in basic hotels and motels. The room had no air conditioning and we had to leave the windows open which lead to dust. The location is the only good thing about this hotel since we would walk everywhere.

Filthy and no sleep
The receptionist was rude. The room was dirty. The carpet and walls were stained. We understand that it was unusual hot temperature, but even with the floor fan on full speed, it was impossible to sleep. Had to change the following day's plans due to lack of sleep. The pictures are misleading. Only the dining room is up-to-date, yet we skipped the expensive breakfast as we just wanted to get out of there

We love Salzburg but don’t like this hotel.
Ceiling fan was broken (missing a blade), mini-fridge was broken...had to throw out 15€ of food that got hot. Shower head cradle was broken. Elevator call button for our floor was broken...I had to take the stairs down to the floor below to bring it up to our floor so we could haul our luggage down. Very limited parking. Room was hotter than hell and even with the window open at night never cooled off enough to sleep. Lousy desk service in the evenings. The hotel was generally run down, a lot of chipped paint in the hallways. I’ve stayed in nicer budget hotels for a lot less money.

Do not stay here
Horrible hotel. Paper thin walls you can hear everything on your entire floor of crowded people. No air conditioning which is a problem on the summer. Horrible stay. They give you a blanket the size of a child’s sleeping bag for a king bed. Two sleeping bags but it doesn’t cover a 5’2” 150lb female. There are plenty of other hotels to choose from don’t book here.

As our hotel does not provide air conditioning, we provide a fan for our guests which is beeing brought to the room on request. Close to sights.cheap. when artived no one at reception. Then when she arrived was having lunch. However other staff polite and made up for it. Nice double room . Clean and comfortable. Hotel from outside looked shabby but inside fine. Close to bus routes which was good. Breakfast looked reasonable and good. Would recommend this as a good 3 star.
