Location of the hotel is really good; 10 min walk from the airport terminal, and 15 min walk from the nearby grocery. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We don't like the bed and comforter though.

Great architecture and decorations. Very convenient to the airport. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. If you need to fly out first thing in the morning, this is the perfect place to stay!

Perfect room for a quick stay; front desk exceptionally helpful to a weary traveler. 2 minute walk from airport terminal. Very quiet! Highly recommend.

Great for quick stay.
Great location, 5 min walk from the terminal, perfect for layovers. Sorta hard to find at night as you have to walk through parking lots and turn right. No coffee in the room kinda sucks if you have to get up at 4am and leave. Bar closes at 11pm.

Full marks for availability and quick booking via Expedia when our flight was cancelled at short notice and we needed a room very close to the airport. No marks for non-availability of breakfast and being told we could only have ( expensively charged for) coffee and tap water in the lobby.

Our plans had changed and i needed to reschedule our stay by one day. WARNING: this hotel has a 3 day cancelation policy which i find to be excessive. We wanted to cancel at 2 days but they were rude and took our money anyway.

Overpriced for what you get.
It seems like a family run hotel. The hotel is clean and 2 mins walk from airport and has ample parking and swimming pool. AC worked well. Easy to get to town and station using bus 2 or 10 from airport. Now for the negatives. Elderly lady (probably the owner) is a bit moody. Could spot only 2 other people working there. Basics like kettle, iron, tea, coffee were absent from room. Breakfast spread very mediocre compared to other less expensive hotels in Austria. No restaurant in hotel, so dinner options are either takeaways or eat out. Room had balcony with view of the hill from one corner and airport. Toiletries not provided till we pointed out. Cheap toiletries. Faded bath towels. Dated furniture and television. Receptionist is also the barman, probably related to the elderly lady. Barman also moody. Can't be a cultural thing as other Austrians are warm and polite. Having lived in 4 and 5 star hotels across 5 continents, I found this one very overpriced for the quality of service.

The carpet was faded and stained. The sheets had something red that flaked when rubbed. Great location to airport which is why we selected. This property needs updating.

Convenient and Clean
Decent hotel steps away from the airport. I stayed here for its location as I had a early morning flight to catch. I am sure that's the main reason 90% of the customers choose this hotel. Staff was very helpful and the business center was free and allowed me to complete and print up some travel documents at 9 pm.

Just a short walk from arrivals, a nice breakfast area with many choices to start your day. East facing rooms, we had 49, have balcony with nice view to mountains. There is a bar and is a short walk to a choice of restaurants. Parking looked easy, and an underground option too.

We debated if we spend our first night in Europe in the old city Salzburg, but were glad that we spent the first night right by the airport after the long flight. The hotel was quiet and the view was great. Restaurants were in the walking distance, and the breakfast at the hotel was nice. After checking out the next morning, we walked to the airport to get a rental car and started off to our one week vacation in Austrian Alps.

Stayed one night at this hotel. The best thing about this is its location. Walk 2 minutes to the airport. Perfect! Room was good. No restaurant for food except you can get a small breakfast each morning.

That's great only a few minutes walk with Ski boots to Kitzbühel Hahnenkamm gondola base station. Warmed in door pool is also available. It's worth to pay a slightly higher price.

This hotel is 4 star rated but doesn't have the looks, service and comfort for such a rating. Less comunication and very unfriendly. I have booked this hotel near the airport cause of an early morning flight. My breakfast was includid in the price but they didn't offered me anything to take with me. I will book here again.

Very convenient - next door to the airport but I didn’t hear a single plane in the three nights I spent here. Comfy beds, a lovely bathroom and a delicious breakfast. Staff are very efficiencent and were able to give advice on where to eat in the evening close to the hotel. Just 15 minutes on the bus from the city centre. Quite traditional in terms of decor which may not be to everyone’s taste, but I liked it.

Perfect for my needs
Myself and my wife found this hotel excellent. We have read some negative reviews from other people. I do not believe those reviews are fair. This hotel is situated perfectly within the airport, you can walk to the terminal building in less than 5 minutes, in a typically Austrian building surrounded by fields. Myself and my wife found the hotel extremely comfortable and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was ideal and served from 6am by a lovely lady. There is also a small fitness area with standard cardio equipment and a small pool which is ideal to cool down. I definitely think some of the negative reviews on here are completely unreasonable and I think their expectations may have been totally unrealistic for an airport hotel. I would recommend to a family member or friend and I will return myself to stay in the hotel before an early morning flight. Thank you to Airporthotel Salzburg.

Super convenient. It is 3 to 5 minutes walk to/from the Salzburg airport, meaning, no waiting for taxi and no waiting in traffic to/from the airport.

All most want from an airport hotel is a good night’s sleep. I paid €130 for 1 night stay. The room had no air conditioning on a 35 degrees night. The (officious) receptionist told me A/C would cost another €30 and that it was “obvious” from the online booking that it wasn’t included. It wasn’t at all. I could have coped with all the threadbare carpets and brown 70s decor if the room was cool enough to sleep. I paid the extra. Nothing else I could do.

2 Minute walking distance to the airport. The WiFi didn’t work, there were mosquitos at night (I was there during the summer) they gave me a mosquito catcher but it didn’t really work. The service was alright. Otherwise a good place for one night if you’re heading out or coming from the airport

Strange hotel
Great location for the airport. You can walk with your suitcase to the departure lounges. Odd Hotel. Very clean but no home comforts for a 4 star hotel. Staff pleasant but cold. You feel as though you’re staying at someone’s house but you’re not meant to be there.

Great hotel right next to the airport
This hotel was very convenient to the airport and easy to walk the short distance. They included a breakfast, which was also nice, My only complaint was that there was no air conditioning and the room and hotel were extremely warm. We had a nice balcony and opened the door to cool the room down a little,

Extremely convenient when you have an early flight outvoted Salzburg. Plus the airport is quiet at night, so the hotel is very quiet, compared to whatvyou may expect. Really appreciate the 5 AM breakfast start!

Not a great Hotel but certainly not a bad hotel
This is THE airport hotel... ie the only one, The hotels looks like an alpine lodge, and is literally 3 minutes walk to airport building, yet, even with a room at the front, almost facing the airport, no noise, but then, its not a major airport. I took a taxi from rail station, thinking if I got the bus, I would then have to find my way to the hotel, neednt have worried. £20 for the taxi seemed a bit steep as it was only 5 mins, but he was fast. Staff very friendly, efficient though couldnt help getting the feeling the hotel wasnt expecting anyone arriving. All a bit weird really. Friendly but nothing seemed like they were expecting any guests. It was a hot day in Austria. 30c, so a top floor room at a hotel with no aircon was not ideal. Boiling. Reluctant to open windows as quite a few midgies around. Food was the big let down. Food was awful. Snacks only they said. German Sausage and Bread. Or Chips. Asked for some of the ham or egg or cheese that would be served at breakfast... not possible. Why... Ping... Out came my oven chips and a lonely looking frankfurter. No salad. No butter. No mayo. Just a sausage and some chips that were 1 minute short when the ping went. Breakfast was much better. In a small village this hotel would be perfect. I think being next to the airport you expect something different to what this is. Quaint it could be. Friendly it certainly is. Luxurious it isnt.
