“Great night out away from the kids.”
I'm sure we'll come back to this hotel many more times in the future. Convenient to free transportation if you're not in the mood for a walk.
“Great hotel to enjoy with the best skiing in the world!!!”
The hotel is beautiful as one would expect with its ranking and reputation, but what really stood out was the quality of advice I received there relative to skiing. We got great advice as to resorts, optimal arrival times, etc. Our trip was wonderful!!!
“Beautiful Hotel”
Like another reviewer, our only complaints are the $10 surcharge for the fitness center (which is fantastic) and the $1 charge for each local call, especially when paying a pretty penny for the room. None the less, the Holding Companies rarely miss a detail. We travelled with our two young children, 5 and 7, and the staff was fantastic. The hotel is right beside the train station, which makes travelling around the downtown area a cinch.
“Fabulous in every respect”
Colleagues and I stayed at this hotel during a recent conference in the city. It exceeded our expectations in every respect. The airport pick up and drop off made getting there and back easy -in less than 10 minutes. Every member of staff was courteous and went above and beyond his or her job description. The public spaces were grand, and the executive suite was spacious and furnished to a high standard. The bathroom was one of the best features - all gleaming white marble, excellent lighting and ample towels for 3 guests. Afternoon tea in the lobby was a particular highlight for us, as well as the lovely pool. The location makes the hotel convenient both for convention and business travelers as well as those wishing to see the sights of Salt Lake. I will definitely return to this hotel for a vacation at some point in the future!
“Definitely the best Salt Lake has to offer”
The Grand America was incredible! My wife has always wanted to stay here and I am so glad we finally did! The staff were very kind and personal and even gave me an update of my favorite football game of the day! I wish we could have stayed another night or two!
“This is world class hotel..”
This hotel was beautiful. And service was excellent. Equal to any hotel that I have stayed in in NY or Europe.
“"The Grandest of all"”
Would definitely stay again chocolates on pillow everynight and bed turned down
“Luxury in Salt Lake”
The Grand America Hotel is truly a five-star luxury accommodation. Built for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, this hotel surpasses any other in Salt Lake City in terms of quality, luxury, and service. It is easily accessible from the airport (freeway entrance/exit closeby) and the newly-built light rail system runs right in front of the hotel, allowing visitors without a rental car easy access to downtown. The decor inside the hotel is classic and beautiful. The bar/tea room in the lobby is gorgeous and comfortable. Artwork throughout the hotel is top-notch and tasteful. Our room was not huge but easily large enough for two people. The one feature that didn't match up with other five-star hotels we've stayed in is the bathrooms. While they are very nice, they were not very large, but they made up for that by putting an additional sink and mirror into the open area that also served as the "closet" (hanging bar with suitcase stands - an open area in the hallway to the bathroom). Overall, very nice hotel that I hope will stay in business... it wasn't very busy when we stayed there and I've heard they have had problems filling the hotel in spite of the great luxury you get for the price.
“World first class in every way”
I was traveling with my senior mother, we were upgraded to a sperlative executive suite. Our stay was most beautiful and comfortable in every way.
“Can't wait to go back”
The hotel staff was superb in helping with every need. The amenities were delightful. We used the spa daily. The dining room was lovely and attended to every need. We will be back.
