“Wonderful Experiance”

The hotel and there staff was friendly and nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food was exceptional.

“Best yet!”

Stayed two different days on the way to and back from Calgary, and it was perfect both times. The pool was not open yet (May 13-14) but the hot tub was. Kids would like that pool, and part of it is a lap section -- the longest I've ever seen!! If this is a 3 star hotel, then all those 2 star places should be downgraded to one star. Will always stay here when stopping in Salmon Arm.

“Doesn't live up to the description”

The sales & marketing people sure took a lot of liberties when describing this hotel. It looks and feels more like a run-of-the-mill roadside motel instead of the "luxury boutique hotel" they describe on the website. Our reservation was for a room with 2 queen beds and a kitchenette. What they gave us was a room with 2 double beds and no kitchenette. Despite having a confirmed reservation, they were unable to give us the proper room because they were full. The room was very basic. It had (ugly) tile throughout, an old tube style tv, an ancient air conditioner, cheap light fixtures, paper thin blinds, and just standard sheets and pillows (as opposed to the "premium linens, duvets and pillows" they promise on their website). Another annoying feature was that the room numbers on the doors are not lit up and so small that you need to walk up to within a few feet to be able to read them. There's no way you can read them from your car as you drive around looking for a parking spot (that is unassigned). This just highlights the lack of good design that is evident throughout the hotel. Also note that they no longer provide breakfast as is stated in an older review. Lastly, we complained about the screw-up with our room and got a $20 discount (which was still not worth it for that crappy room). We were also promised a call from the manager, but never heard from him/her. My recommendation if you're considering this hotel... keep looking! You can do better.
