The previous reviews for the property were all pretty spot on. The property is fine, nothing more. It seems like it used to be a pretty great hotel pre-covid, but most of their amenities were no longer offered other than breakfast and a bar that opens at 17:00. Breakfast was average. The hotel’s website said there was a restaurant which made it seem like they serve dinner, but they don’t. Also, I’m not sure the air conditioning actually ever worked. The staff were kind and helpful, and the views from the room were excellent.

Overall, poor. The service was below average, the hotel staff were generally unhelpful and at times rude. The continental breakfast was subpar to say the least. The hotel is marketed as a “spa hotel” yet the spa has been closed for two years. Wouldn’t recommend. Only good thing about this hotel is that it’s by the water and walking distance from the main areas.

The hotel is located in a great location. The rooms are large and clean. All areas are clean and tidy. Overall the hotel needs repairs done as it is looking tired. Although it advertises, a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, restaurant, and rooftop terrace, none are available. These were the reasons I chose the hotel, so disappointed. The only bar in the reception, is open limited hours, late afternoon until 10.00pm. The staff are friendly and helpful, which make it a pleasant experience, but let down by lack of facilities.

This hotel is in a great spot but is underwhelming. The air conditioner didn’t work properly, the wifi cut out often, the pool was empty (it was 33c in summer) and a frosty reception. But on saying that we’ve stayed in a lot worse and we’re grateful for the position and cleanliness

This hotel is underrated for some unknown reason , we stayed in the sea view rooms , amazing views , walkable distance to every location in Salerno , staff are nice , clean , room spacious , transportation. Very Convenient , I came here before 2027 and I hesitated to come back due to low score but I am glad I came back and I will keep coming back ,

We don’t usually book at a hotel of this type, but needed to at short notice for one night. We have stayed at other 3 star properties who delivered a better property and better service. One frustration was that the rooftop facility advertised, which I thought would be great for an easy dinner option, is not available unless it is for a function. Not sure if that was made clear in the booking details or not.

This is not what is advertised. Pool closed. Spa closed. €5 to use the fitness center!? Staff not friendly at all. NO A/C!! Hot and uncomfortable rooms. No bell man to assist with luggage. Would not recommend.

We stayed here to visit Pompeii & Herculaneum and we liked how close the location was to train station and public beach. We got a quad room which was very spacious, had an amazing balcony with view of water & mountains, and had a nice bath/shower combo. Biggest issue was the AC unit which seemed to have a locked temp setting. Room became very hot, even during the evenings. We turned on the AC and adjusted the temp setting but sometimes would run for 15 minutes, other times 30 seconds. Temp felt 5 degrees warmer than in the hallway. Only stayed for 2 nights so didn't address with hotel - but would definitely check into before staying there again.

Travelers should be aware that this hotel is very "utilitarian". The rooms are very outdated and minimalist. There are no coffee or tea makers. The beds are antiquated and uncomfortable. It felt more like a hostel than a hotel.

The staff, food and location were outstanding for the price. Very clean and spacious room with comfortable beds and bathroom. Beautiful views from balcony. Facility needs updates and a good paint. From outside looks abandoned due to lack of good landscaping. The hotel per se has a lot of potential. One of the best locations and stay for the price.

This property is past its prime. Advertised services not accurate (restaurant no longer open, etc). No AC. Hot. Homeless people and drunks yelling outside with doors open to cool it down.

The property was dirty. There was nothing explained about the hotels amenities. They never tried to help with any issues we had. The taxi provided by the hotel was ridiculously expensive. Seems all they care about is money and not the customers at all. Would highly recommend not staying here.

Beware of this hotel. The pictures are nothing like what the hotel actually looks like. There is no AC. They keep the heat on and control it too can't control anything in room. It was sweltering in the room and had to sleep with balcony door open. They won't even shut off the heat as well. Very rundown hotel. Great location and breakfast that's about it.

OK But Needs Renovating
The location of the hotel is its best feature. It is close to the ferry and the pedestrian shopping street. This hotel is showing its age and is in need of a renovation. On our second day the staff working in the breakfast room was overwhelmed. The hotel management did not plan for a large crowd and not all food items were available later in the morning and clean dishes were not always available. Rooms could have been cleaner, were in need of fresh paint and the air conditioning vent in our room was moldy.

Property is very old, humid, needs urgent renovation. First time in my life they ask me €5 to use The gym. When I saw the gym it was poor and old. The receptionist didn’t allow me to do a local call. When I left the hotel at 5 am no person were at the reception. I do not recommend this hotel. The walls in my room were not painted properly and the wardrobes has no doors, as they took them away.

Location is great & so is the price. I guess you get what you pay for. Broken glass windows. Filthy outside & kind of seedy.It is close to the harbor. We got locked out of our room because there was an electri short. We had to wait a short time for them to switch our room.

Of the five places we stayed in Italy, this was my least favourite but I can’t even put a finger on why exactly. We changed rooms almost immediately upon arriving due to a noisy neighbour and the staff was super accommodating about that. The location was ok. The view was beautiful from the front of the hotel. I think I just found Salerno in general to be less welcoming than the other places we stayed. Not the hotels fault by any means, but that may have fed into my experience.
