Great 1 night stop
Used this hotel for a short 1 night stop on our way to our camp site. Lovely big family room with two separate bedrooms. Shower room. After a long journey we all had a nice relaxing time in the pool.

A break on the way to Belle-Île
The hotel was very nice and comfortable, yielding very good value for money. It has a pleasant pool, and a great restaurant serving a breakfast with everything that you would want and at night a wonderful dinner. Our room was an ‘upscale’ family room that was a bit simple, but large, very clean with a good bed and a pleasant bathroom. Importantly (at least for us) the hotel is quietly situated in a bit sleepy French village. We did not hear a sound in our room. Thus, we can recommend it highly and we will certainly select it again If it would be on our way!

Great location for Le Mont Saint Michel
Perfect location to visit Le Mont Saint Michel. The room was clean and comfortable for our one night stay. The gym equipment needs repair. The treadmill kept turning off.

Central location for a comfortable stay
An easy drive from the port, and a good location (except on Sunday, when the roads outside are closed for the market). We had a large, family room with bath and shower, tv etc. OK breakfast and other facilities you would expect from a mid range hotel.

Good hotel
A one night stay here as I was working in the area. It was a lovely location in the centre of a small town, the evening meal was lovely (the choice wasn't huge but the meals all looked to be very good). Breakfast was also very good - all self service but with a wide selection of breads, pastries and homemade pancakes (as well as fruits and cereals). The hotel accommodation is spread over a few buildings - my room wasn't far from the main reception area. A spacious room with good desk space and working wifi allowed me an afternoon of work. There are gym facilities and a pool however I didn't use these. The room was fairly simple but there were tea and coffee making facilities (which often isn't on offer in mainland Europe hotels). I was able to drive up to Mont St Michel, it's about half an hour away, to enjoy an evening walk - this hotel would be a suitable base if you were wanting to visit the sights around Mont St Michel. The hotel car parking is to the rear of the hotel, the parking at the front of the hotel is limited to 10 minutes.

Very nice hotel in reasonable price. We have used it when visiting Mont St Michel it is located around 30km from it which is close enough and much cheaper and quitter then places there. Very clean, good wifi and free parking with gate closed for the night.

Nice hotel and comftable -we were in family room which was a bit cramped and the toilet being at the other end of the room from the sink was a bit of a pain. However service was excellent, hotel was quite and peaceful and dinner was pleasent. A good stop off on the way to Brittany

처음에 사진이 너무 허접해서 고민하다가 한국분이 친절하게 후기 잘 적어주신것 읽고 이호텔 선택했었는데요. 정말 저도 강추입니다. 몽쉘미쉘에서 고성가기전 하루 쉬었다 가기 딱 좋구요. 호텔에서 멀지 않은곳에 super U 라는 큰 슈퍼도 있어서 필요한것들 사기도 편하고 호텔 바로 앞 베이커리는 정말 저렴하면서도 맛있는 빵을 판답니다. 하루 묵으면서 3번이나 갔었네요. 호텔은 낮시간에는 영어가 가능한 직원이 상주해 있는듯하구요 늦은시간엔 영어가능한 직원이 없어서 좀 불편해요. 그래도 다들 친절해서 손짓발짓하며 의사 소통가능. 3성급 호텔인데 짐과 수영장이 있어서 너무 좋았어요. 사이즈도 알맞고 손님이 많지 않은 호텔이라 사우나랑 짐 수영장을 정말 전세 내고 놀았다는... 시간도 9:30분 늦은시간까지 오픈이라 더 좋아요. 객실이 약 40개 정도 밖에 안되어 조용하고 아침식사도 10유로 정도 (애들은 5.5) 나쁘지 않게 다양한 빵과 과일 시리얼 요거트등이 나온답니다. 근처 식당에 식사 가격을 보니 호텔식사가 저렴한거더라구요. 저희 객실은 2층이었는데 작은 호텔이라 계단으로 짐옮기려니 살짝 힘들긴 했는데 계단이 그렇게 많지는 않아서 괜찮았답니다. 결론적으로 가격도 저렴 시설도 좋고 친절하고 마을 이쁘고 특히 빵집 강추!! 호텔사진이 너무 허접해서 고민하시는분들 고민하지마시고 선택하세요. 사진이 너무 못 나왔어요. 참 free wifi(속도 좋아요), free parking입니다.

Very nice hotel at a reasonable price
We were travelling as 3 adults and ordered a triple room. To our surprise the room (#9) had two separate bedrooms each with double beds making it very comfortable. The bathroom and toilet are in separate rooms. The room is in the building attic and faces the street. There is a little street noise that is easily shut out. The location on the street makes it convenient to local boulangeries for breakfast if you don't want the hotel buffet. The hotel has an excellent restaurant for dinner.

Good hotel for a quick stop in our tour
We only stayed here for one night in our travel across this region, going to Mont Saint Michel. The room was not great but it was ok for our one night stay.

Acceptable stay
We thought this hotel was acceptable for our weekend stay. Room although basic was clean and the black out blinds allowed the children to sleep very well. We did not have breakfast and purchased croissants from the bakery across the road. Only criticism was that the staff were not over friendly so no real personal service experienced.

Good hotel for Mont Saint-Michel
We stayed here because it was 30m away from Mont Saint-Michel, which we were to see the next day. The staff helpfully left our keys in the room because we were arriving late that night. Our room was very decent, it had the cool light-blocking mechanized screen and separate rooms for the toilet and shower/sink.

A great value hotel
This was the last hotel we stayed in as a couple in a 3 week long tour through Germany, Austria and France and it was the place we liked best of all. The room and facilities were excellent - we had the best sleep of the entire holiday there. There was a large car park behind the hotel and our room was on the ground floor which made moving heavy cases a breeze. We used the room as a base from which to go out and explore Places such as Mont St Michel, Dinan, St Malo, Vitre - all within easy reach of St Brice en Cogles on mainly decent roads. The town of St Brice was clean and nicely kept too and we had the odd wander in the evening which was very pleasant. The staff were very efficient and the room was left spotless every day. As a result of our long days out and eating at our destinations, we only got to try the food on the last night and it was of a high standard and we had no complaints at all. It comes highly recommended by us.

Good choice to break a long journey. Hotel staff were courteous and pleasant. Big car park to rear. No traffic noise at night. Family room and bathroom was clean and spacious. Restaurant food is good though breakfast buffet is a bit limited and expensive for families as it's per head. Good base for exploring surrounding area (e.g. Mont-St-Michel). Would book it again.

Convenient to Caen, Caen Memorial, British beaches
The hotel is a short walk for the tram station to Downtown Caen, 5 min drive to the Caen Memorial and British Beaches or the Merville battery site drives.The Novotel has a very good breakfast and good service, and if we come back to Normandy we will stay there again. It is a bit of drive to the American Beaches farther to the North, but you will be in Omaha Beach or the Longues sur Mer battery in an hour and so drive through Bayeux. Definetely too far for Utah Beach and St Mere Eglise.

Convenient and Comfortable
Le Lion d'Or Hotel in St. Brice en Cogles is a pleasant site in a charming, out of the way, small town about a 20 min drive from Fougeres. The two story hotel is located midway along St. Brices's main street. The town, one step out the hotel's front door, is modern and easily explored on foot. Parking is available behind the hotel. Our room was larger than average complete with closet and up to date bathrom ammenities. Both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant, available at additional cost, were enjoyable and well prepared. A cozy, nicely decorated, 24/7 bar is located behind the reception counter. The staff was consistently courteous and helpful in planning our excursions and had no trouble with English.

Equipements promis absents: Piscine "en vidange" et sauna fermé pour 3 mois. Assez courant que les piscines couvertes ne soient pas utilisables l'hiver soit disant exceptionnellement mais cela semble plutôt être pour economiser de l'electricite. Pas normal de ne pas prévenir à la réservation et de ne pas proposer de compensation. Il faisait assez froid dans la chambre. C'est affiché avec petit dejeuner compris et finalement non.

Hotel with a very good location to visit the Mont St Michel, Fougères, Rennes, Vitré... Free secured parking. Room was ok but on the ground floor without much natural light (only a small window). Breakfast was average. Cleaning of the room has not been done properly. Bathroom without heating and hence quite cold. Airdryer is very old and does not work really well. The swimming pool is nice but the water was quite cold. The sauna is nice. Outside, most restaurants were closed. We discovered the crêperie La Gourmandise which is very close and offers really good food. The people at the desk were not particularly helpful, in particular the ones at our check-in and checkout.
