This place was not hatd to find and the breakfast was good and check in and out process was easy and smooth. Very clean place.

The hot tub was a bonus, although the jets don't really work. The room was comfortable, although the floor needed to be cleaned better. The complimentary breakfast was very adequate.

We stayed here on a Thursday in February. My partner was having a procedure done at the Sacramento Kaiser hospital the next morning, and this hotel is just a few minutes' drive away. The location is also close to shopping. There are Red Lobster and Outback restaurants across Howe Ave. (a large, busy street) and The Habit Burger across a smaller street. There are a lot of other food choices around the area. This hotel has two stories on each of, I believe, three buildings. There are no elevators. We reserved one of the superior double queen rooms. It was in the middle of the property, away from busy Howe Avenue, so we heard no traffic noise. The room had a door that opened to a courtyard between buildings. The only noise that we heard was a very creaky door which I believe was for a room directly above us. Our beds were comfortable. The bathroom was small, but adequate. The air conditioner is the type that's under the window. For heating purposes, it wasn't noisy. The breakfast was good and included a couple of types of pre-made omelet, bacon and sausage, and potatoes, as well as other choices. There was plenty of parking (free) when we were there. We would definitely stay here again. It met our need for a comfortable night's sleep. It's not a luxurious place, but we feel that it's a good value for the money.

Sad news about the Arden Star Hotel
Excellent stay. It would be my new go-to Sacramento hotel if it had not been sold to the state for use by homeless residents. What a shame for potential paying guests and for the neighborhood's businesses to lose this marvelous place.

Great accommodations
Upon arrival the clerk was able to check us in immediately even at 1:15 am. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I didn’t mind giving compliments to the entire staff as I saw them.

No Vending Machines!
Went for the RV show and stayed 3 nights. The room was clean, people were very nice. However, they had no vending machines, no where to buy drinking water, nothing to eat until breakfast time. That was ok, but I didn’t see any muffins or stuff for people who don’t like to eat a big breakfast.

There is nothing we don't like about Arden Star except the logo. Beyond that Staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is conveniently located, and we love the buffet breakfast. It's also clean and quiet and everything works. Lastly, it's priced right.

This was a last minute need, and was happy to be able to find a place I could stay with my grandkids that didn't look like I had to bar the door! The staff was friendly, the room was beautiful and clean, my grandson wanted to sleep in the bathroom because " its gorgeous" 😅😅😅. The breakfast, was breakfast even at 9:30 am. If im.in the area again, this will definitely be my first choice!

Everything was nice and clean.Breakfast was ok they ran out of a few things and said they wasn’t replacing it.Also I left something that was brand new in my room.When I asked did they see it they told me yes but they threw it away.I feel like they should hold items left behind for atlas 2-3hrs before throwing out.Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

It was super safe and quiet! The room was clean and looked just like the photos. The breakfast was on the better end of hotel breakfast. Nice staff and easy check-in. The parking was free, which is apparently unusual for hotels in the area. I would totally recommend this hotel if you need one in the area!

This is our second time staying at this location and have been very impressed both times, it’s absolutely immaculate, and in pristine condition. The breakfast is incredible including waffles, omelettes, biscuits, gravy, sausage, bacon, etc. We will definitely stay here again.
