“Sacramento Surprise”
I had walked past the Holiday Inn Sacramento-Capitol Plaza many times while living in Sacramento. I had since moved away and booked a room there for a recent visit back and, boy, was I surprised! The interior of the hotel was much nicer than expected and the rooms were very nice. They seemed to have that "traditional" hotel feel about them, something that I would have expected from a Holiday Inn in the days gone by. We have become accustomed to the sub-par experience of other places and will definitely return to this hotel! Excellent service, courteous employees and wonderful rooms!
“Holiday Inn near Old Sacramento was perfect.”
The hotel's proximity to Old Sacramento was perfect. It was located directly next to the Capitol Plaza also. To get to Old Sacramento, you simply walked through a tunnel which opened up right on a street in Old Sac. The hotel itself was also very pretty. The lobby staff was very professional and friendly. The rooms were very large and clean. I came away with the feeling that the hotel staff wanted me to feel taken care of. I would definitely stay here again.
“Good location to Old Sacramento”
I booked this hotel because of a workshop I attended in Old Town that was within walking distance. Staff were excellent, especially the porter, Hilberto (I think that was his name), who helped us with our luggage. People at the desk were friendly and professional. The only draw-back on this hotel is its proximity to I-5 and the constant noise of traffic, day and night. If I return, I will ask for a room that doesn't face the freeway. Otherwise, a good place to stay in Sacramento.
