This hotel was very convenient to Louisiana Tech, restaurants and gas stations. It is very affordable and includes a free breakfast. The parking lot on my side of the hotel was very cramped, often impassable when full. The shower curtain rod was hung on a slight angle, making it impossible to stay closed. But these are minor problems. Overall, a good deal.

“Rendezvous in Ruston”

Same as above block: This was at the end of a 430-mile drive and we were meeting family from about a 4-hour drive away. They stayed on other side of the building (we were non-smoking and they were smoking); I never went over to their room, but ours was fine. We had asked for room for two adults, we got two large beds with refrigerator. Our first time in town. We wanted eat Japanese, got good help from front desk, they printed us a map to get to a new Japanese restaurant nearby. This Super 8 was not new, but felt we got our money's worth. We were there mainly for a visit with another family, they seemed satisfied with their stay. There was a place to eat next to where we stayed and also across the street. It was near LA Tech campus. Only disappointment was the "free" breakfast, very slim selection.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

Call me a hotel snob but I'm not a big fan of budget motel/hotels but since this was the only place available for my trip, I stayed here. My stay was May 22nd to the 25th. I was in town for a college reunion in Grambling. The room was very clean, modern looking and everything worked including the a/c. The motel is conveniently located off the second Ruston exit of HWY 20 coming from Monroe. Two doors down is the Waffle House which is open 24 hours. The motel is on a business strip and near Louisiana Tech University so there are plenty of cheap places to eat, pizza, sandwiches, etc. The Chevron gas station was right across the street with a mini mart. I was actually surprised how quiet it was since this was a holiday weekend. Housekeeping was quick and the ladies were really nice and asked if I needed anything else which I did not. There was a complimentary continental breakfast but I slept in late so I missed it. No worries. I have to admit, since my first and only stay in a different budget chain hotel back in 1995 which was AWFUL, I have been humbled and would really like to say Super 8 was a really nice place to stay if you're on a tight budget or not. Check-in was quick and hassle free. I also wanted to add that the front desk staff were really helpful giving me directions and suggestions especially the guy who drew a map for me(cool!). Great Southern Hospitality! So, I give Super 8 Ruston, Louisiana 5 thumbs up and a happy simile!

“Nice hotel for what I paid for.”

The hotel was worth the stay. I was up for the state basketball championships and needed a place to stay and the Super 8 Hotel was a good fit. It was right around the corner from the School and it was great all around. Had a good time

The place is great. Very nice quarters, lots of space, and quality.

The motel was fine just nothing to get excited about.
