Understanding that it is an old castle, I do think that the property has not been kept on prime condition. The bathroom was outdated and did not meet the price of the room. towels, and bed linen were not the best. The minibar was hot! Tesla charger was not working. Food at the restaurant was perfect. Would visit again!

Ensure you book a superior room or better. Annex rooms are very poor. Outdoor pool green and needs a clean. Spa small and crowded.

Hi,Thanks for your stay at Pavillon Nantilde.To answer you : yes our new owner is going to renovated the whole domain in 2024-2025. Concerning the outdoor pool : we have had a problem with the colour of the water but it is now solved. We immediately phoned an enterprise to analyse the water that was still OK to swim but we had to modify the chemical composition of the water to refind its normal translucid colour.Our SPA has been renovated in 2019 but if you are coming during afternoons at the end of the week there are many guests.In 2025-2026 when our domain will reopen, the welness possibilities will be expanded.Best regards,

Young man was nice at reception that is studying at university in the UK. All other staff pleasant enough. We booked the lowest priced room which needs updating, it smelt, and the air con unit was simply letting hot air back in. Not a 5 star experience, regardless of wether we booked a classic room. Quite shocked at the responses from management too when anyone tries to write a bad review, from reading.

Dear Madam,Thank you for your stay and your compliments concerning our staff. We just want to point out the fact that when you choose a classic room, it is a standard room with no official air conditionning system in an annex building. Nevertheless, this room gives you the oppotunity to get to the renewed SPA in 2019 and to enjoy the outdoorpool with panoramic views and also to chill out in the beautiful garden. We do not advertise for air conditionning in this building as for the moment we cannot install it. So we added monobloc mobile a/c system that normally produce fresh air but those machines are not as silentfull as a real a/c system. We remind that some customers use bad faith arguments or have a bad behaviour during their stay and so they receive appropriate responses when they allow themselves to denigrate or exagerate at the maximum on social networks. However we give personnalized answers and analyse all the informations that we have before writting on social platforms. It is the case here. We accept critics when balanced with positive aspects but have a zero tolerance with online bashing.We encourage you to read carefully what is indicated on the websites before booking and not to assume that an equipment is present if it is not clearly indicated.Know that when you book through an online tour operator it is more expensive than a direct booking because you pay an intermediary. Finally, we do not control the displays on partner sites, unlike ours. If in doubt ask your questions directly to the hotel, it can be useful.In 2024-2025 our domain will be closed for complete renovation and we hope that the problem of air conditionning will be solved. Beautiful mansion + extraordinary surroundings
Really great stay in a beautiful building. Staff are accommodating and nice, the dinner is classical and exquisite and as a bonus, Tesla has installed charges at the front - so if you are a Tesla-driver, this place is perfect as you can park right at the entrance and charge for free. It's smack in the middle of the wine district, so getting around from the hotel is very easy and convenient.

Never again. Overpriced and not clean
This hotel is totally overpriced! Dirty and not cozy. Room was not clean, smelled old, and no airco in the middle of a hot summer! We slept very bad. The overall state of the hotel was poor... not well maintained and not clean. The restaurant was way overpriced. Laundry service was horrible expensive and not good. Never again.

Stayed here 9 years ago for our honeymoon and it was wonderful. Hotel is still just as great! Wonderful service, great restaurant, and one of the most unbelievable views in all of France!

A lovely surprise
A beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Had an excellent dinner with top class service. On our list to visit again this time when we can enjoy the pooland the wonderful surrounding area. Not often you stay in a room with cloth wallpaper !!

Good stay
This is a lovely older hotel. It could use a little spiffing up in some areas - a fresh coat of paint here, new bathroom furnishings there. Pretty quiet. Small but nice indoor pool and spa. We received especially great service from the night manager, Florentine, who speaks excellent English. He mapped out a tour of nearby Colmar for us, which was very helpful.

It’s a beautiful building and location but the rooms are 4 star at best, not 5. The place is generally in want of a smart upgrade, the building is very nice but constructed in the 70s and the place feels a little dated, not 79s dated just dated. It is very good value though and the restaurant is a winner for dinner with a great staff

Great hotel overlooking the vineyards
I stayed at this hotel 35 years ago and went back because i had fond memories - I was not disappointed. I reserved a “superior” room which got me a large room on the top floor of the chateau with 3 windows overlooking the front gardens and the vine covered hills in the distance. There is a bar on an outdoor terrace overlooking the village of Rouffach and acres of vines behind a wall that is part of the Château. My wife had Riesling and I had Pinot Noir from domain Chateau d’Isenbough and both were good. The restaurant at the chateau is excellent for dinner and breakfast in an adjoining room is also nice. If you want to pretend to be the “marquis” for the day...this a good place.

Sublime chateau
The Hotel was wonderful - beautiful surroundings and view. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the service was very good. We just stayed the one night and eat in the restaurant on the terrace outside. The food was good, though the prices were rather high. Great to see a stork in it's nest on top of the tower too! A lovely place - would definitely go again.

Except for the view, the scenery, the garden, a surprising Tesla charger and the excellent breakfast buffet, this hotel is definitely not worth its 5 stars. Not even close. Everything is old, poorly maintained, unpractical and the service is disappointing. They didn't offer to bring the luggage into the room upon arrival, nor to take them down upon leaving, Internet is abysmally slow (when it works), only one old room key per room, the carpet dates back 50 years at least, the bathrooms are ridiculously small, bathtub and sink were clogged, there was no hair conditioner or body lotion, the indoor pool and sauna do not offer bath towels or robes and the locker rooms are in ridiculously poor conditions, there is only one elevator in the whole place, often in use and everything looks pretty poorly maintained and there are not towels offered or service around the outdoor pool. It is way overpriced for the quality. I would not recommend it.

Idyllic rural French location
The experience was amazing from start to finish set in a French village amongst the grapevines and with a great outlook. We only spent one night but I would recommend at least 2 to truly wind down and enjoy what the location has to offer.

We had a corner room #26 and it was perfect for a girls 2 night stay on the Rue De Vin. Every member of the staff were wonderful and very helpful. The outdoor terrace for coffee in the morning was lovely overlooking all the grape vines. The room was large and the views beautiful! Great sheets, large bath towels and comfy beds. The bathroom was modern but the separate toilette area was a bit small...for a man it seems it would be impossible to close. Overall the place is lovely and full of charm from an era gone by. The carpet in the upstairs hallway could use some TLC but to us it added to the charm. Ample parking and the location has convenient acces to town. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Beautiful location with great spa services, restaurant and views. Would recommend highly although next time would prefer an upgraded room. The rooms in the annex are not sound proof but otherwise very clean and comfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Cocktails on the terrace offered excellent views.

Lovely Hotel
Charming rooms at a beautiful Chateau with fantastic views of the city of Rouffach from the lobby balcony. They sell wine made from grapes that are grown on the grounds of the Chateau which is also really cool!

Convenient and clean.
We stayed one night. We arrived at night and left early, so we didn't get a chance to appreciate the property. Room was on the small side, but nicely decorated and clean. Staff were very nice. Good place to stay if you are visiting Colmar.

Fabulous getaway in the French countryside
We only had a brief stay as the town was a halfway stop to break up a 700km drive, but it was great. We stayed in the least expensive rooms (which they appropriately list as 50 meters from the main building) and loved it. Probably an old carriage house, or guests quarters, my wife and I liked being in the very modern room that was away from the main area. The reception offered us an upgrade at check-in which we declined for the one night we were there. We had dinner at the chateau's restaurant and ate the prix fix selections (there were two choices) which were expensive but well worth it. We drank several of the chateau's own label wines which were great examples of the region. Of half-a-dozen staff with whom we interacted, every person was a stellar example of exemplary service. We look forward to returning when we have more time to explore the area and relax at the chateau.
