"Lovely B&b full of character"
Only stayed one night as I was travelling on the next day. Made to feel right at home by Tim and his family. The house is convenient for everything Ross on whye has to offer. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants and café in easy walking distance. The house itself is really nice. I had the attic room which was accessed by a set of steep narrow stairs which the less mobile may have difficulty with. The room was huge with exposed beams and sash windows which looked onto the street below. The room had a shower ensuite , Which was very nice and tv and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast consisted of a wide choice of cereals or a full English ( delicious ) tea and coffee or juice. All in all a great place ran by lovely people, would stay again.

" Characterful hotel in the centre of Ross on Wye"
A lovely, dog friendly hotel with helpful, welcoming staff. The room was very comfortable with ample tea and coffee making facilities and an excellent shower room. We chose to have an evening meal in the hotel which was very enjoyable and well priced. An ample, well cooked breakfast in the morning was a fine end to our stay. We would wholeheartedly recommend the Kings Head hotel.

"slap bang in the middle of Ross"
right in the middle of Ross, so location is pretty good, close to all pubs and shops. Guesthouse was pretty good, staff was very pleasant and very helpful. the only thing about the guesthouse is that is has no parking. There is a council run parking but it is a little walk away and there is a fee required for parking all day (but is only £1.50 for the whole day) the room we stayed is was fairly clean, but there had been an unpleasant discovery that should have been picked up before we arrived, yuk! Also the floor creaks all over and the room needs redecorating/ updating.

"Classic old style country hotel"
The staff were welcoming and it was easy to check in even late on a Sunday evening. The single room was clean and comfortable with an immaculate en-suite with a power shower that worked very well. The veggie breakfast was superb and the service was excellent. I would have been more pleased had there been soya milk available but this did not upset my stay. As a late booker value for money was amazing. There was plenty of space to work even after I had checked out. Five stars, will definitely book again.

"Friendly B&B. Great Breakfast and view"
Well run B&B. The elevated view from our room across the loop of the River Wye was excellent. Our hosts were absent for the first night (of 3) but were well deputised by their parents. (Although our initial greeting of "The bad news is that the apprentice is on tonight" caused momentary confusion as we considered the possibility that compulsory TV might be in the offing... lol! Recommended.

"Quaint B&B in picturesque location"
We stayed here for two nights in June. The room was on the top floor, overlooking the river. The room was clean & comfortable with a four poster bed and ornate shash windows. The shower room was reallyreally small but functional and most important spotless. The decor was old fashioned and the building was in need of a little tlc, but this added to the character. Judy the owner was really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area with good recommendations and her breakfast was great. Great stay!!

"Lovely hotel A quaint barn conversion "
An unusual building with pretty rooms. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was pleasant but some items could be cooked a little more - fried egg whites underdone, bacon seemed not to be turned when cooking, sausages seemed undercooked too. Also all a bit on the cool side rather than hot. Evening meal in the restaurant was very nice. However, although we paid for them at the end of the meal we were asked to pay for one dinner again at the end of our stay. Luckily we were able to show our receipt. The location was perfect for us with a 10-15 minute walk into Ross on Wye, a lovely riverside pub on route. I would recommend the hotel to friends, however in general, it could do with a lick of paint here and there, the front car park area could be a lot tidier and more welcoming and a few minor repairs (e.g.our bedroom door was difficult to shut and lock).

"Good location hotel for Ross on Wye"
Great position, centre of town and parking nearby. Patrick, the owner, is an excellend host who cooked breakfast for us each morning in front of us and chatted, nice atmosphere. Beds are comfortable, which I think is important when I go on holiday.
