“Beautiful Hotel”
The staff of the hotel was extremely attentive and friendly. The grounds have a ton of character and are quite beautiful. Our room was lovely, especially the heated towel rack!! It is in a quiet spot outside the city center, therefore lots of walking is required. The kitchen was very handy, especially with the little market around the corner and behind the hotel. We loved this place and would definitely recommend it to others.
“Famille -Paris”
“Great Hotel”
I can highly recommend this. Definately choose a hotel west of the Tiber if you want a quiet stay at a reasonable price. This is alos very close to Lepanto station making it perfectly placed.
“Very impressed.”
A little further out of historic centre than many other hotels, but the quality and atmosphere of this hotel out-balances that. Very peaceful location and beautifully decorated. Staff helpful, friendly & professional. We felt like the only ones staying there! Wonderful. We will and have recommended this hotel. Didn't order breakfast in hotel as very expensive, but there are eateries close by & a vending machine for coffee/water. Would probably make use of the kitchenette in room if stayed there again.
“Great base for seeing Rome”
This hotel was staffed by extremely friendly, helpful and multi-lingual people. It is within walking distance of all the main attractions (probably the best way to see Rome)The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel is secure with private gardens. The only disappointment we had was that our room didnt have a balcony or direct access to the garden(being directly behind reception)-but there were plenty of seats in the main garden to have a late night glass of wine! Reception closes at 11pm.
“Lovely, quirky, 'boutique' hotel in quiet part of Rome”
The location was fine.. a little out of the main centres, but (for us, keen walkers) only about 20 minutes from the Spanish Steps, the same to the Vatican & only 10 minutes from the nearest Metro (Lepanto). The rooms are in a modest villa set in the grounds of a larger villa, right on the main, riverside road (Lungatevere Delle Armi,) a short distance from the nearest bridge. We picked the cheapest option, the Bambu room, just behind reception. It was about 5 m sq, with a king size bed ( comfy, memory-foam mattress and pillows), high ceilings with lovely mouldings & attractive, reclaimed wall & floor tiles. There was a small kitchenette with full-size fridge, 2 ring hob, sink & crockery etc. The shower room was a good size, although the cabinet was tight for me (1.9m). Don't turn it on full either, as the funky, square shower rose squirts some water vertically up to the ceiling! All the sheets, towels etc were of high quality and changed daily! They even provide bathrobes and slippers! A flat screen tv/dvd and limited satellite service were also laid on. The gardens around the property are lovely & tranquil, ideal for a late-night bottle or three of Chianti! (Only kidding! We only had one or two! ) Reception is open from 7-ish til 11pm (although often later) & you have keys & codes to access the premises outside these hours. The staff were friendly & helpful. Oh, & if it rains, there's a stack of monogrammed umbrellas available for guests to use at no charge.
“Very differant and lovely would go back”
this is a lovely hotel although it felt more like an apartment than hotel. room with twin beds (rather short)unusually decorated with lovely tiles, interesting lights, small kitchenette quite adequate for room could make our own breakfast then sit out in the lovely patio which we had all to ourselves. spotlessly clean, high class bedlinen, towels and bath robes all monogrammed, very quiet and relaxing. Staff very polite and go out of their way to be helpful (not all speak English). at the present time they are renovating the villa next door so was a bit off putting when first got there and saw the rubble but it did not affect our stay in anyway once we were reassured it was not where we were staying so don't be put off!!! Metro Lapeno about 10 mins brisk walk did not try the buses or Trams. would love to go back in a couple of years and see the new renovated villa
“Super hotel in Rome - best possible experience”
Villa Laetitia is a wonderful hotel that is about 1mi. NE of the Vatican right on the Tiber. The location is perfect - about 5-10min. walk to either the Lepanto Metro station or the Piazza del Popolo/Flaminio Metro station. Since you are slightly away from the city, the noise level is very low - you are staying in a real Roman neighborhood. There is a supermarket 20ft. from the door, and a cafe, local restaurant, and pizza place within 1/2 block. They are very good, and very inexpensive, being local places. We had 2 cappucino and 2 pastries for 3 euro every morning before heading to the city. The neighborhood is very nice and safe, and worth the extra few minutes walk compared to staying inside the older part of the city by the tourist sights. Hotel accommodations were excellent, the basic room was quite large even compared with US rooms in big cities, with excellent shower, kitchenette, and satellite TV. Room was very, very clean, and we immediately felt at home. English-speaking staff was incredibly helpful with any/all needs, recommending places to visit/eat, and even checking times on attractions to make sure we didn't miss anything. A courtyard would be a nice place to relax in the summer, and since the grounds are relatively large, you are about 100ft. of the main street, so nighttime noise was very low. No chance of staying anywhere else next time I am in Rome.
“Relaxing and Quiet Hotel in Rome”
My wife and I had a terrific stay at the Villa Laetitia. The hotel staff was incredibly nice and helpful, and gave us tips on getting around the city as well as places to eat. The villa felt more like a home than a hotel and was very inviting. It's in a perfect location that is just far enough away from the noise of the centre city, but close enough to walk comfortably to all the major attractions. Its only a 10 minute walk to the Northern end of the Villa del Corso, which is the main street that runs strait through the city. My wife is 7 months pregnant and was able to walk from the villa to centre city with no problems (just a few rest stops along the way:). We would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Rome in the future.
