“Wonderful Stay”
The guest house is nicely located, just 1 block in from the Via Veneto. Bus, subway and multiple taxi stands are within easy walking distance. The family that runs the hotel was friendly and very helpful. The owner even came out and negotiated with the cab drivers to make sure we received a fair rate to the train station. The rooms and bathrooms were clean & comfortable. The room's flat screen TV was a nice plus. I would stay there again!
“Great hotel in Rome”
Great hotel, awesome service,Clean, quiet, great location. Everything about the place was great. We plan return next year.
“cant wait to go back”
guest house located in a great area, very safe, less than a 10 minute walk to attractions like the spansish steps. staff extremely friendly, always willing to help and assist in any way they could. excellent !!!
“Made the stay...”
Second visit to Rome; first time stayed in EUR which is way way way too far out! This time we wanted a cheap place in the centre that allowed us to wander round at night. The Via Veneto Guesthouse is brilliant; 5 mins walk from the Spanish Steps, easy access to all of the main sights, clean room, nice bathroom, very helpful staff and breakfast was spot on! If you are going to Rome to experience the city and not sit in a hotel room/gym/bar for the duration, then I highly recommend this place. Check out Villa Borghese if you stay here, best gallery in Rome!
“friendly and welcoming”
A lovely quiet guesthouse situated a walk away from all the major attractions. The owner was very friendly and helpful and having breakfast in a patissarie round the corner was an excellent insight into the life of Rome. A fantastic experience!
“Via Vento Guesthouse - Excellent!!”
As it is a guest house it is not maned all day, however, I had a phone call weeks before departure to check what time we would be arriving so that someone would be there. This was excellent, even though we had a delay we were met by a lovely young lady. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and it was in a very good position. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definately return to this hotel on future trips to Rome.
“Living like the locals”
Via Veneto Guest House is a converted apartment. If you want to stay as a local, this would be perfect. Owners looked after us very well, but were not on site. If you want a hotel reception or 24 hour concierge - this is not the venue for you. However, it was perfect for us to come and go as we pleased - would stay here again! Close to Piazza Bernini and metro, and also to Villa Borghese. Tourist attractions probably 20-30 mins stroll into town.
“We would go back”
The guesthouse had been in touch by telephone some time prior to travel to check our arrival time -after their usual noon closing of reception, so we appreciated this attention to detail and the courtesy of greetings when we got there. Our room was as expected -small but perfectly adequate for our needs, with good storage for clothes and luggage, and good shower room. Very clean. Easy-to-control air-conditioning. Quiet at night with no hint of the busy streets nearby. Breakfast in the patisserie/cafe was fine and an interesting insight into Romans' early morning habits enroute to work, but more choice over the combination of what was on offer would have been appreciated. Guest house has a good location just off the Via Veneto -easy walking distance to some sights, especially the Borghese gardens (lovely to walk in) and Villa Borghese museum (quite stunning). Good transport links -buses in the Via Veneto and metro five minutes walk - for more distant places. We enjoyed a local pizzeria/restaurant round the corner for evening meals -home-cooked pasta and pizzas but other choices, too, at reaasonable prices. Altogether, a very enjoyable experience.
“Via Veneto House--Terrific”
Via Veneto House was a wonderful place to stay. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even made arrangements for our pick up from the airport. Rooms were small, but clean and cool. Very charming and in a good location not far from the American Embassy. One note to mention--the elevator does not go all the way down to the first floor. If you are not able to climb one set of stairs, this may not be an ideal location for you. We would definitely stay there again.
“Ideal location but somewhat basic!”
Enjoyed a great 5 night stay in Rome!! The accommodation is ideally located just off the very nice Via Veneto area which made it an excellent location for exploring the CIty. The room was a bit basic and very small and was a little limited for the longer stay (more than a couple of nights). Nice new bathroom and shower was very good - although we had a bit of toilet flushing trouble. The service from our hosts who were available each morning for help and advice was very good - great for transport tips and booking our return airport shuttle. We were in room 1 which was a little noisy if you happened to be first back in at night as all other returning guests had to lock and unlock the front door and make their way past the room! Breakfasts were great at a local coffee/patisserie place on the Via Veneto and set us up for the day. The apartments were ideally located for taxis, Metro (Bernini Square or Spanish Steps) and the sightseeing tour buses which we used courtesy of a 48 hours pass at 25 Euros each - sounds expensive but the hop-on and hop-off service to all the major sites was great. However we also did a lot of walking with the Trevi fountain, Pantheon, etc all within reasonable distance - we actually walked from the Colosseum to Vatican City (via the Pantheon) on one beautiful sunny day.
