Although there was a language difference (my Italian is very weak!) both women I met at reception were great and very welcoming. A great place to stay to visit the area around the Vatican. Very clean and accessible. I would stay again.

Lovely place
This was a lovely place to stay for the first leg of our trip. It had the charm of a bed and breakfast. The coffee machine in the hall was an added bonus. The airlines had lost our luggage on the flight over and the host was kind enough to wait on hold with the baggage service to see if she could get more information for us. When we came back, she had put some extra toiletries and slippers in our room. She also coordinated taxi rides for us. The smaller beds were a little uncomfortable, but overall it was a quiet and safe space from the bustling city. Very close to Vatican city but about an hour walk to the Colosseum.

Dear customer,Is not possible for this gentelmen MERVE to give an opinion on the Tibullo Guesthouse, when he does not know it personally. HE NEVER arrived at the structure and h NEVER STAYED with us, he does not know Tibullo Guesthouse, having been a guest in another hotel, therefore PLEASE CANCEL THIS REVIEW, as IS NOT TRUE. Mr. MERVE MUSLU, before to come, did not deign to cancell his reservation at Tibullo, nor to warm us that he would be staying elsewhere, Never answer to our email, and the day of his arrival we was waiting him all the day until midnight.After a week of his stay in Rome, I don't know where, wich hotel, he demands a refund from us. He doesn't care and doesn't respect the people who work. We can't beleve there are people so fake and uncaring. Fantastic Little Place
What a fantastic Bed and Breakfast, Michelle was a lovely host! The rooms was a good size (room 1) and very clean. Bed was very comfy! Location is perfect for getting around. Vatican is approx 5-10 minute walk (for the museum entrance), and 50 minutes to Colosseum (which is good if you want to explore the city on foot!) Lots of restaurants near by too! Would definitely stay here again when in Rome (very good value too, especially as you don’t want to be staying in the room too much!) Only thing that would make this better would be a breakfast (but lots of places near by to get this) Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Easily the BEST little Guesthouse in Rome!!
This place exceeded all our expectations! Our room was comfortable and there were 4 of us!, our bathroom was spacious, everything was beyond clean, the neighborhood was very nice as well, felt safe, easy walk to Vatican and/or Castel San Angelo, stores and restaurants nearby, great wifi and the proprietor Michelle is terrific too, very kind and helpful!

Great Vatican location
Manager very caring and available. Would not recommend the breakfast as it is not a buffet. Stayed three nights and normally does not provide clean towels until fourth day. Air conditioning broke down so on our third night no air conditioning in July. However did provide small fan. Great locatiion for the vatican area. A little far for everything else. It is an old guest house on the FIRST floor. Manager provides snacks near front door. I would recommend this place.

Tibullo guesthouse is really amazing. The room was very spacious, beautiful and with all the comforts needed. Breakfast was delicious and for such a cheap price. Location is great, the perfect spot in Rome to move around. The owner, Michelle, is the sweetest and friendliest person I have ever met. She will do all she can to make your stay excellent. Loved it. Michelle is very helpful. She printed my plane tickets and got me a taxi for a 6 am departure. The coffee/cappuccino mavhine that's available to guests 24 hours is wonderful. Bed is very comfortable, everything spotless clean. Vatican City three blocks one direction, Castel San Angelo three blocks the other direction. Close to Tiber River and not far from the Colosseum. Great stay. Stores and restaurants close by. Highly recommend it.

The owner, Michelle, was the best hostess we have ever encountered! She made us feel like we were her family and she also watched out for us! She was available 24 hours a Day by phone if she wasn’t on site! Very professional! She even took the time to walk to the touring agency, which was approximately 15 minutes away and did not leave us until she was sure that we were with our tour guide. The breakfast she brought us each morning was more than enough for my husband and I both. It was a very good and healthy Breakfast. I had asked for ice to keep my drink cool and Michelle went out of her way to get the ice and to make sure I had extra there if I needed it. The few suggestions I would have is for there to be a ceiling fan put in the rooms and the room to be cooled off when guests arrive. Also, when we left our room we ask that our room was not to be cleaned as we had our stuff laid out and when we came back someone had gone in and cleaned our room and turned our air conditioner off with the curtains opened for the sun to come in which made our room very hot. We did put the do not disturb sign out as well and that was taken off our door handle and put back in our room. They need to be instructions on how to switch the TV from Italian to English. We would definitely go back and stay at this bed-and-breakfast again

Great Roman Retreat
Couldn't recommend this small hotel enough. Right next door to the Vatican and the fort it is located well. The staff were excellent and were incredibly welcoming. Ina in particular was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us! Can't wait to go back!

The place is over priced... clean but the room were very small for 3 people. the neighborhood is very nice and only less than 10 minutes walking to the Vatican. the breakfast was very very modest and you can hardly call it a breakfast. no restaurant, they brought us some cake in the room.

Hello Waleed, The price 81 euro per night for triple room in APRIL ( high seazon) is normal price in the center of Rome VATICAN, I'm so sorry for you, but never I saw 3 people has 8 lugagge very big, I was really surprise at you arrival with ALL THIS LUGAGGE... The room is 21 meter and very normal for 3 PEOPLE... Before to come in our BB , you rent appartament all for your family with 3 BEDROOM and kitcken, is normal that 1 ROOM is to small for you, than big appartament wich you rent days befor... If you need breakfst at the RESTAURANT, you must choise HOTEL NOT BB or GUESTHOUSE... Thank you so much, Michelle

Good Rooms near the Vatican
My wife and I found Tibullo a very comfortable and freindly place to stay. Situated 10 minutes walk from the Vatican and the nearest tube station, we found this an ideal spot to stay in Rome. The staff were freindly and helpful and our room was very homely and tidy. Overall, a good place to stay when visiting Rome and we would consider staying again if we return.

Michelle, the owner at Tibullo was great. She made sure our stay was comfortable. The room was small, as three of us adults stayed in the room, with one queen bed and a small twin bed. However, we made it work. Breakfast was brought to us the evening before, so we could eat whenever we wanted. Good security. We always felt safe even walking around the area late at night. The location is great. Steps away from the Vatican, and a metro is not too far away. Rooms were always cleaned during the day. The staff overall was very friendly. And we would strongly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting Rome, and especially if you want to be close to the Vatican. Michelle will also give you tips on how to tour Rome and surrounding cities without spending too much money. All in all, a great venue. Will stay again when visiting Rome.

Everything was wonderful. Breakfast was small, just a pastry and cracker with marmalade. The breakfast was on a tray delivered to the room nightly. The woman there didn't speak any English so it was a little difficult managing check in and check out. Very relaxing though, and small. I think only 4 rooms.

Great B & B near the Vatican
When my husband and I arrived at Tibullo, Michelle gave us an option to stay in a private apartment nearby, rather then the classic double with a shared bathroom that we had booked (for the same price). We went to the small loft apartment which had a small kitchen, living area, bathroom, and bed. It was perfect! The pillows on the bed were memory foam and the bed itself was fantastic. She brought us wine and flowers when she learned it was our anniversary. Michelle brought us breakfast items daily (fruit, bread, yogurt, cheese, meat, etc) and we had a fantastic coffee maker in our kitchen. We were a block from the palace of justice and the 6 euro shuttle to FCO airport. Michelle gave us tips for getting around the city, maps, and food suggestions. The apartment was close to bars, restaurants, and a five/ten minute walk to Piazza Navorna. I couldn't have asked for a better way to end our Italian trip.

Cutest B & B in Rome
Stayed there in May 2014, wouldn't have stayed anywhere else! Michelle was out of town and had a woman named Lily looking after the place. Sweetest woman I have ever met! I'm a 20 year old traveling alone, she took really good care of me. Rooms are cleaned daily, fridge and food restocked (at no extra cost), and in a really safe neighborhood near the Vatican. Fast wifi and good breakfast. The rooms have the "old Roma" feel, so fun to stay in

We fell in love with Rome--and this B&B
Lovely weekend in Rome with a friend of mine, and we had an excellent stay at the Tibullo. Michelle was funny and warm, and we LOVED our adopted Roman aunt/housekeeper who only spoke Italian to us. Great location, room was comfortable, and the staff was delightful. Would definitely go back!

Not happy - When arrive from the cruse, the location for us was changed and we have to walk & pull our luggage to the other location that is may be 10 blocks, the hotel clerk talked to the official and the hotel official did not mention to the clerk to take us via taxi or car. We did not get fresh at the room because wested too much time in walking with luggage to another location. The next day we suppose to leave early, we mentioned to the clerk, we were told that milk will be available next morning but nothing was there for our breakfast. No phone to call locally like taxi. Except the location of the hotel, nothing satisfied us! If you stuck or needed help, there is no hotel personnel to get help from or phone no that you can call for help. Did not feel comfortable! We will not go back again and do not recommend to our friend.

Decent hotel, but not with young children
The people at the hotel were friendly and helpful, but this is not a hotel for a family with young children. When I made the reservation, I requested quadruple room and a crib for my 18 month old and when we arrived we were in a double room with 2 fold out cots and no crib. I asked about the crib and was told they did not have any. Fortunately the baby was flat out exhausted from our travels (we stayed only one night after a 2 week cruise) that we got him to sleep in the bed with us, though this made the bed incredibly cramped. Our room was clean, but since it was a double room, having a double bed and 2 smaller beds in it made it almost impossible to even walk. The bathrooms are not connected to the rooms. Each room has its own private bath, but we had to leave our room and walk down a common hall to get to them. The hotel has rooms in a couple of buildings and the address listed on expedia.com is not the address where we stayed. We were dropped off by a cab at the address and then had to drag our luggage (a lot since we were on a cruise), with the help of the staff, and the baby, about 6 blocks, which was not fun. We were paying with a credit card, so the next day I had to walk another 6 or so blocks in another direction to another building with rooms to pay and then back to my room. Admittedly, 6 blocks isn't far (12 round trip), but it cut into time we had planned for other things. Again, the staff was very friendly, but I wouldn't stay there with kids.

Interesting B&B in great location
I booked late and was pleased to get a room so close to St Peter's at so reasonable a rate. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served in the room which my two teenagers felt was novel. Our triple room was not en suite so that might prove a problem for some but we did have out own bathroom down the corridor. The only negative was the heat which seemed to overwhelm the A/C but neither of my two kids complained.

Tirando o fato de não ter água quente durante um dos dias da estadia, tudo certo. Problema rapidamente resolvido pela proprietária. Anfitriã muito agradável e solícita. Limpeza e organização muito boas. Localização excelente; dá pra ir andando aos principais pontos da cidade, se você gosta de caminhar.
