“Inn at the Roman Forum”
Lovely, peaceful little hotel, very small, only 13 rooms but has a sweet terrace and a nice lounge area. The walled garden is private (only for those booking the most expensive rooms). We got a free upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi bath (which was perfect for easing aching legs after walking around Rome) and an extremely comfortable 4 poster bed. No full restaurant service, but there is buffet breakfast or a very nice continental room service breakfast. You can also order drinks and snacks either to your room or in the lounge or terrace. No coffee or tea making facilities but there is a mini bar. Nice towels and toiletries, hairdryer and even a large barrel curling tongs! The staff are friendly and helpful. It can be a bit difficult to find as its in a small street and looks like a private residence but if you give the taxi driver the address of 16 Via Baccina its just up a few steps. Look for a house covered in a foliage with an open door.
“Great Hoel”
Almost want to keep this to myself so their rates don't go up. Difficult to find but worth it. Great rooms, friendly helpful staff. They only need new beds and it would be perfect!
“Fantastic hotel!”
A fantastic hotel, right in the heart of the old city. Perfect location to go sightseeing. Everything is in walking distance. The interior is amazing and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. We can totally recommend this hotel!
“Dan & Kathy”
Simply the Best. This is the place to stay in Rome. Beautiful botique hotel hidden in the Roman Forum area. Does not feel like a hotel, feels like you live in Rome. Great rooftop with views of ancient Rome, and the best breakfast and cocktail lounge in the world! The rooms are beautifully designed, and the staff is outstanding. Small place, only 15 rooms, but I will stay there whenever I return to Rome.
“Great hotel, great location”
Hotel staff was very gracious and accomodating of my early (7:30am) arrival in Rome, and got me into my room as quickly as possible. Room itself was comfortable and clean with a nice TV and view of flowered courtyard. Location cannot be beat -- it's just behind Trajan's Forum/market and a short 3-minute walk to Piazza Venezia or 5-minute walk to the Forum/Coliseum.
“Beautiful! Highly recommend!”
The exterior of the inn is unassuming, the street/alley is a little tricky to find if you are wheeling luggage from the Metro. But the guest rooms and common areas like the rooftop garden were absolutely fantastic! Design is a beautiful mix of old world style with very modern fixtures like a new, modern bathroom with a full jacuzzi tub, comfortable canopy bed, flat screen TV (which we didn't use). EXCELLENT location, bumping right up against the Forum and less than 10 minute walk to the Colliseum. I'd highly recommend this hotel for location and service/room quality - in fact I already have recommended it to a friend traveling to Rome.
“Awesome hotel in Rome/Great location”
This was the best hotel we stayed at during our honeymoon in Rome. The location was phenomenal. Only a short walk from the Colosseum and Ancient Rome and near a Metro station. It was also cool to get a look at the ancient ruins located right inside the hotel. The Inn was situated on a regular neighborhood street and honestly, you wouldn't have known it was a hotel. The roof terrace had an awesome view. They offered free wifi and there was a free snack buffet from 6-8pm which helped us save money as we had that for dinner on 1 occasion. The currency exchange rate is terrible for the dollar so this was a help! I would highly recommend this hotel.
“No surprises - solidly good for the price in a charming atmosphere.”
A very pleasant place to stay with good service, a generous breakfast, and a nice happy hour with good hors d'heuvres. I would go back because it is convenient location and the staff was consistently attentive throughout the stay. The breakfast offering and happy hour daily were also of good quality and therefore saved us us money at both ends of the day. One small area for growth: Font desk folks are young, energetic and helpful, but they are not that knowledgable about Rome or how to get something fixed in a room, That did not detract from our stay, but I mention it for their benefit.
“Didn't want to leave!”
For our honeymoon, this hotel was more than we ever could have expected. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Rome that would like to stay in the Heart of Ancient Rome.
“Fantastic Hotel, Fantastic Location in Rome”
My wife and I spent six nights recently at the Inn at the Roman Forum. It is a wonderful small, boutique hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The location couldn't be more perfect for walking around and seeing the city. It was, quite simply, wonderful.
