“Not Impressed”

The website for this hotel is very dishonest. The hotel is nowhere near the Vatican. It is a long trek and bus ride to the nearest Metro station where you can take the train into the city. The area around the hotel has no shops or community so you cannot just wander around the area. There is a lonely macdonalds at the bottom of the steep hill which you must climb to the hotel if you are not driving. However if you are expecting polite staff and customer service of any kind then do not bother. The staff at the hotel are ok but again politeness is not their strong point. The breakfast is ok and useful for filling up before your long day. The days are long because the city is too far away for returning to change in the evening. So you are out from morning to night without returning home. Bit draining in the heat.The rooms are tiny and the walls are so thin that you can hear next doors guests going to the toilet! Our beds were infested with bed bugs which had bitten us to pieces by the third day. The bath towels were actually table cloths! I will never return to this hotel as it is not up to basic standards and its dishonest website should be legally challenged. Do not go there. Its in the middle of nowhere. Its not very clean. The staff are not pleased to see you. And you will find better. EASILY.
