“Rome's Hideaway”
This is a great little hotel that is actually a converted apartment. There are only five rooms but the place has been renovated very well. Our room was just as good as any regular hotel room you can get in the US. The only potential issue with this hotel is that it is in a converted apartment building. When my girlfriend and I got there we didn't even know where the place was. The only reason we found it was because the owner was conveniently walking down the stairs as we were arriving. She showed us where everything was. Other than being hard to find, everything else was wonderful. The location is great, you are only two blocks from the Colosseum and Roman Forum. My girlfriend and I were able to walk everywhere from the hotel. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to younger people looking for a more affordable place to stay with a great location.
“just right for your buck”
room is small and so was the toilet, but very clean and perfectly situated , perfect for a couple of days in rome after all your only sleeping in the room and then spending the whole day out and about . ps the bed is extremely comfortable. and well priced
“Very good place”
“Good value budget accom in centro antico”
For those people who are travelling to Rome for the hotels and the taxis, this really isn't the place for you. However for those who would just love to walk in off one of the major streets of Rome into a quiet, leafy, green courtyard then this is the place for you. The bed was so comfortable and the rooms were so clean and constantly maintained at such a high standard, I have full intentions of returning here and also sending any friend or family member on. Furthermore if you are a romantic of Rome and Italian life, then you will love the views from the balcony of Italian apartments and rooftop gardens etc; but if you prefer something a bit more impressive just go back out on the street for views of both the Forum and the Colosseum. However without a doubt, aside from location, price, comfort and cleanliness, the reason why this place is so great is due to Andrea and Celeste, the owners. Friendly, generous, unbelievably helpful, they are the most wonderful couple. The recommended places to eat, provided tour information, helped me get aaround and beyond all those good examples of good hosting they also let me use their mobile phone and offered me a 3pm checkout at no extra cost so that I could shower before flying home. They are the loveliest hard working young couple and I would much rather give them my money any day over some big faceless hotel chain. If you are looking for good value budget accom then you shouldn't be dissappointed here
“Perfect location, basic accomodation”
The hotel is in a perfect location. Colosseum is 5 min away walking, Piazza Venecia is 3 min away on foot. Fintana di Trevi 10 minutes from the flat. One can even walk to the Vatican, only 30 min. It is also 10 min. away from Termine train station. The staff is lovely and very helpful. I had a single room with a single bed and I found it a bit too small. In effect this is a flat turned into guest rooms. It is kept clean every day. I did pay £4 more for a breakfast which I kind of regreted. The breakfast is served in a local caffe, and you get a coffee, orange juice and a croassant, or toast, butter and jam. For that money you can buy all that yourself or actually get what you want to eat. They serve fantastic paninis... So I recommend not paying for breakfast. All in all, if you're going to Rome for site seeing and using your room for sleeping only, this is a very good option. It's not expensive, it's in a great location, and clean.
“Hotel à eviter”
Accueil sympathique. Cependant l'hotel est à déconseiller car très très bruyant. Il est difficile de bien dormir. De plus, le petit déjeuner ne se prend pas dans l'hotel mais dans un snack bar, en terrasse (cela peut poser problème quand il fait froid).
“Not highly recomended”
it is more a room renting place rather than a hotel. the rooms are located on the 3rd floor, no elevator! the location is great. the rooms are ok, not the cleanest. no breakfast available.
