“Best Hotel in Rome”

Rome has a lot of bad hotels. However, the River Château Hotel is not one of them. I stayted at this hotel back in August 2006. Great, great service. After reading the other reviews I thought this hotel was really far from the city, it is not. All you have to do is take the metro to the Octaviano stop and then the #32 bus straight down the street to the Olympic Stadium. It's right there on a very, quite street. If you a clean, quite hotel with great service then seriously consider the River Château Hotel.

“Great hotel”

Great hotel, made to feel very welcome from when we arrived late on Thursday night. Roberto, on reception, could not have been more helpful. Room very comfortable, lots of choice at breakfast. Major attractions accessible via short bus journey (taxi from Piazza Navona approx 10 euro). Will use this hotel again when we return to Rome.

“Beautiful, elegant Hotel”

We stayed for three nights and had no complaints. The room was more than we expected, everything was provided for. The hotel staff spoke English and were very polite, even provided us with a local map.

“Wonderful Hotel”

This hotel was the last one available for a trip to Rome. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was so nice! Elegant rooms, bathrobes, turn down service, breakfast included- very helpful English speaking staff. The only thing was that it was a bit far from city center. Cost about 10 Euro cab ride or a 15 minute bus ride into the center. We walked home one night and it took about an hour and a half! The little neighborhood it's in has some late night spots, so if you return to your hotel early there are still things to do. It's very near the Ponte Milvio Bridge. I would definitely go back, it was nice to escape the mass amounts of tourists in the city center.
