“Fantastic apartment in the historic centre of Rome”

The apartment was newly decorated and very clean. The room was surprisingly large for accomodation in the centre of Rome. I have stayed in 4star hotels where the rooms were much smaller. There is also a common kitchen with fridges, hob, tea and coffee etc. The location of the apartment is excellent. 5 minutes from the forum and collosseum and adjacent to a metro station. There is a reception but it did not seem to be occupied very often. The staff were contactable by phone but it would have been very problematic if the door entry card had not worked or been lost. Breakfast at the adjacent cafe (coffee/tea and a croissant) was included in the price but the cafe is shut on Sundays. Overall, this was a great place to stay and excellent value for money if you do not need the trappings of a proper hotel.
