“Very modern and very convenient”
The hotel sits on a large road, but backs up to the prettiest park in Rome - Villa Borghese - great views, a museum, bike rentals, and food abound. It's about a 3 minute walk from the hotel to a subway tunnel that takes you directly to the Spanish steps, with no climbing or crowds, and the neighborhood around the hotel (via Vittorio Venetto) is full of shopping and great small restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the morning breakfast has everything anyone would need - including an endless supply of scrambled eggs and cappuccino. Our room was modern, clean, very functional, and the beds were pretty comfortable. There is some road noise, so ask for a room away from the road if you like to have the windows open. Wireless is free in the lobby and bar, in 30 minute increments, and available with a plug-in connection only in the room for about 10 euros a night.
“Great staff.”
We had just the best five day`s in Rome. The hotel was mordern in style, but, just alittle dated in place`s. But, and a big BUT!! the staff were totally lovely, nothing was to much trouble! I would go again, tomorrow!!!
“Very clean, comfortable, modern hotel”
After being used to getting small, dingy rooms while traveling in Europe, this hotel was a great relief. The rooms are clean, modern, and spacious and well outiftted with conveniences, good A/C and a lavish free breakfast. The hotel is at the head of the posh Via Veneto street, where it dead ends into the quite UNcharming Borghese Gardens. The hotel looks out on one side on an interesting view of the ancient Roman wall. It is a 15 minute walk to either the Barberini or Spagna metro stops. The Spagna stop is also at the Spanish Steps on the Eastern edge of the great walking area in the center of Rome, near the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc. One downside of this hotel is that you must walk a solid 15 minutes to get to any useful area, but since that walk can get you to subways, you can then zip off wherever you're headed. The other annoying thing was that the Internet is only free in the lobby, and you must get a new password for each 30 minutes of usage. Otherwise, you must pay 11 Euro for 24 hours of wifi in your room.
“Great location”
Great hotel-Front desk & others went out of their way to help and were friendly.Location close to the Via Veneto-walk in 5 min, & overlooks nice park so not as noisy as alot of hotels in Rome. Windows/rooms were soundproofed.Nice restaurant, high speed internet, bar, covered parking- great free breakfast-with eggs, bacon, sausage etc. Currency exchange at desk. Walk to Spanish steps etc.Front desk spoke English well and seemed very concerned with me having a great stay! Rooms not large but normal for Europe and were comfortable altho bed not the best (two singles together to make large bed)Plenty of elevators so no delays in going to rooms etc. Good chambermaid service-rooms spotless and in house laundry did excellent same day service on some clothes I needed cleaned. Sept 2007
“Very pleased”
We were a little bit nervous about booking a hotel based entirely on Web reviews, especially since we saw some negative ones, but we were very pleased with the Jolly Hotel Vittorio Veneto. The complimentary breakfast was so good we really pushed ourselves to get up for it each morning (and we are not morning people). The service (housekeeping, front desk and breakfast room) was very good, with the front desk recommending some good restaurants in the area and also recommending a car service to the airport, which was very convenient. Initially, we worried that the hotel location (northeast of many of the big tourist attractions) would be a drawback, but the location ended up being great, since we could easily walk everywhere but St. Peter's and the Metro was pretty close. Plus, our room overlooked the Villa Borghese, which is beautiful, and the setting was almost a haven from the ultra-touristy areas. The hotel room was small, but that is not unusual in Europe, but it was comfortable enough, clean and in good condition.
“Classy”
We enjoyed clean "linen" bed sheets every day that were freshly pressed. The staff was very helpful with directions. Could have used wash cloths, though.
“très contente, j'y retourne dès que possible”
très calme tout en étant à proximité du centre, quartier agréable et aucun risque pour rentrer seule le soir.
“Fully satisfied”
Within a 10 mins walking distance to the Spanish Steps, this hotel is one of the best places to stay in Rome.
“Very impressed!”
The first night we arrived the hotel had some water damaged in our room so they moved us to a sister hotel. The hotel paid for a taxi cab to and from the next day. We had great service and they met every need that we had. The hotel was within walking distance to all the great shops and resturants. It is off the main street so it's very quite. We would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Rome. Excellant!
“Pret a y retourner lors d'un prochain sejour a Rome”
Hotel conforme a ses 4 etoiles, de tres bon standing. Personnel reception et restaurant manque parfois d'amabilite et repond de maniere un peu rude (mais cela semble etre une tendance en Italie, du moins dans les grandes villes).
