“Wonderful Hotel”
My stay at the Jolly Leonardo Da Vinci was a wonderful experience, I would definatly reccomend this hotel and should I get the oportunity to visit Rome again, the Jolly Leonardo Da Vinci would most definatly be my Hotel of choice, its beautiful and the staff treated us like royalty.
“Ideal for the Sites!”
I booked this hotel because of it's location to the sites and it had be good as this was also a surprise treat for my wife. This hotel didn't disappoint in any way. It was a lot better than my initial expectation after reading the previous reviews and it's ideal for wandering to the Vatican and other sites. It's easy to get to, being a couple of minutes walk from Lepanto Metro station which is a real benefit if you've got heavy luggage to lug around.
“Very impressed”
Superb room. Excellent room service. Faulty switch was sorted in minutes.
“Our first trip to Rome”
I found everything to be as stated and the service was great. They help us to book a tour to Florence, not happy with that. Should have taking train.Location could not have been any better, 20min to 30 min walk to everything!! Last day had a bad experience had a will dress man in his 40es pull up to ask direction turn out bad got money from us and fled off.180.00E
“Great Value / Great location”
Ignore all bad reviews, Apart from a slight delay checking in , the hotel was great valuve and in the perfect location, in quiet part of rome but only a short trip to all the main sites. Hotel will call cabs etc for you with little fuss. Didn't eat in the hotel as better value meals around Rome.
“great experience!”
I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It was amazing, I got the package with the breakfast and the food was delicious. The hotel and Rome trip was a great experience, however, I would not recommend anyone to book a flight with air canada that was a disaster both ways. Otherwise, I would go again and stay at this marvelous hotel.
“I would stay at this hotel again.”
I price was a little high, but a great hotel. It was off the busy streets but close to Vatican City.
“would go back”
The only critisism i could make of the hotel is of the cost of the drinks at the cocktail bar.
“Perfect hotel in a perfect area of Rome”
With so many hotels listed on Expedia to choose, this hotel was an excellent choice in a safe and quiet area. Easy walk from a Metro stop. Restaurant for dinner is pricey, but an abundant, free breakfast buffet. Breakfast delivered to room is a surcharge. Bar area had light fare available throughout the day. Within two blocks, many shops and restaurants could be found. Room small compared to most U.S. hotel rooms, but very comfortable with satellite television, mini-bar. Bathroom had many amenities: hairdryer; dual-voltage outlet; heated towel rack; lighted make-up mirror; shampoo, bath salts and bubble bath; shaving kit; lens cleaner; Q-tips; long, deep bathtub; detachable shower head; bidet and toilet, of course. Daily laundry service available and cost was not too exuberant. Maids seemed to know exactly when to clean the room and even turned down the bed at night, leaving a Baci chocolate on the nightstands. WIFO high-speed Internet connection in lobby: 5 Euros/30 min., 10 Euros/60 min., or 25 Euros for 3 hours. Some might think it expensive but I found an excellent way to communicate with home. Hotel staff were very helpful, even provided shop name and address so my daughter could buy embroidered handkerchiefs. Tours and airport transportation could be scheduled by the concierge. New Year's Eve celebration was too costly at 140 Euros each, our biggest disappointment. Yet, we highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Rome.
“Simple luxury and comfort -- good bathrooms!”
Hotel was located 3-4 blocks away from Lepanto Metro stop. (Beware, Metro stops operating at 9pm.) Per the recommendation of another Expedia traveler, I asked for a room on the right wing of the building, which turned out to be their superior rooms. They accomodated my request and we had a a very enjoyable stay in this hotel. Tub was large enough to take a nice bath. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Decent buffet breakfast with good coffee. Location of the hotel is a 20 minute leisurely walk to the Vatican in one direction, and the Piazza del Poppolo, in the opposite direction. This hotel is in a good location b-c the neighborhood is more quiet than other areas, and stores, coffeshops, and decent restaurants are close by.(Avoid the restaurants with pictures of food posted outside.) Staff spoke English and was very courteous. I would recommend this hotel b-c the Lepanto Metro station is close and the bus lines are one block from hotel.
