“Would Recommend”

I would recommend Mite B&B. I found because it's in a residential area in Trastevere, I felt very safe walking by myself even at night. Restaurants in the area were numerous, had excellent food and wine and were fairly inexpensive.

“Just LIke Home”

Mite is a Bed & Breakfast, but it seemed to me like living in a shared apartment. I had my own room with a key and was encouraged to use the kitchen and living room. Maybe sharing a bathroom is not ideal, but the comfort of feeling at home with so much space, including a balcony is great. Loved the fact that you are in an apt building of Italians living their lives, surrounded by similar apt buildings. A short walk into the heart of Trastevere. Only a few min walk to pick up the one euro tram which lets out only a couple blocks from Piazza Navona and walking distance to most other places of interest. Definitely recommended for more independent types and not looking for typical tourist amenities. Mauro and Tad are wonderful, but not always around.

“Convenient Location but odd check in times”

It's quite an unusual B&B, more like a shared apartment where you get your own room keys and have to share bathrooms. Due to nature of the walls and doors it's very noisy whenever someone opens/shuts a door, but the free wifi and computer available was very welcome. The one thing I have to complain about is the check in time which ends at 8pm. This is not made very clear on Expedia and most places I've been to allow check in up till 11pm, therefore I was annoyed that the owner made us pay 50 euros to get a taxi in order to get to the hotel ASAP after landing, or he would cancel my reservation. In the end the time of arrival (8:50pm) didn't matter anyway since it was the Porter of the building and not the B&B owner that checked us in and it was a waste of money in our eyes.
