“Nice Mercure near Piazza Bologna metro”
Great value property in convenient location - 300m to the metro, and only a few stops to centre of Rome. Modern building, comfortable beds and rooms. This Mercure is much better quality for money spent, compared to similarly or even higher priced hotels in the centre - many of which are dodgy. No worries with Mercure.

Très bon acceuil, environnement calme, proche du métro et à deux stations de Termini et quatre de Colosseo, chambre propre, resto à proximité.
“Excellent comfort,great base for city sightseeing”
Hotel was clean, friendly, services were great, comfortable beds, tv. Only down side no tea and coffee making facilities and breakfast was til 10am but after that the bar wasn't open for coffees til a lot later in the day! Good info and smiles aswell as politeness from the hotel staff. water left in our fridge was free but it wasn't made clear as it said 'offered' but no price? Great travel connections, metro bus metro train taxis whenever and wherever to take you anywhere and everywhere. Some great food and drink places a few steps away and Market stalls from the locals with a few shops round the corner. Overall very pleased with hotel, area and was better than expected.
“Very good value”
Although three stops away from the centre on the metro,this was an advantage as this was an excellent and comfortable hotel,part of the Mercure chain. Only disadvantage was the lack of restaurants around the area.Expensive city though!
“Hotel offering guaranteed good service and cleanliness with easy transport links”
The hotel is very clean and the rooms provide everything you would expect of a standard chain hotel. It is not a boutique style hotel but offers a guaranteed standard. I would definitely recommend the hotel to those of you who are looking for a good value, clean hotel and prepared to use the Metro. The hotel is not in the heart of the City but it is located a few minutes walk (along safe roads) away from Bologna Metro station which provides an easy connection to the City's main attractions - it is only a few stops away from Coleseo for the Coliseum and less than 30 mins by Metro from St Peter's Basilica/the Vatican. There is a wonderful cafe opposite the hotel which offers great value coffee, fresh juice and pastries to set you ready for the day out. The trip from the airport (Fiumicino) is every easy - non-stop train from the airport to Termini station then 3 stops on the Metro to Termini. All in all a very good experience at the hotel and we had a brilliant trip.
“LOVED IT!”
Very cozy hotel and modern, nice helpfull staff. Loved the location, neightborhood was very nice and felt safe and since its not a tourist area that means no high tourist prices. You get to experience the real Italian lifestyle upclose. Theres lots of nice little places to eat all around the hotel and most importantly the metro is a 5 minute walk away. Im so glad I picked this hotel.

“Snow, snow & a win”
Stayed for three nights in this hotel & would stay here again, staff friendly, clean sheets & towels daily. Able to check in online for return flights home & print off the tickets was a welcome bonus Can't comment on the breakfast as ate around the corner & had the most wonderful pasteries etc. Had dinner twice at IL Tunnel a restaurant also around another corner from the hotel which served tasty inexpensive Itailian food, staff friendly & attentive. Even the snow didn't spoil the weekend ( first time it had snowed in 26 years# & being frozen to the bone watching the Rugby # six nations - Italy & England) will make it more memorable - especially since we won :-) Denise
“hotel piazza bologna rome”
Bon accueil On nous a remis un plan de la ville, la TV était en panne, cela a ét traité dans la journée. Pt dej correct 10 Euros. L'hotel est un peu éloigné du centre, il faut prendre systematiquement metro ou bus, mais par contre c'est très trapide et l'environnement de l'hotel est bien, calme. Ligne de bus directe depuis l'arrêt argentina, proche de la piazza venezia. L'intérieur de l'hotel est bien, c'e'st Mercure, donc on sait à quoi s'attendre, il n'y a pas de surprise et c'est bien agréable d'être tranquillede ce coté là !!
“Quiet hotel close to Metro”
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mercure. We didn't want to be in the incredibly busy centre of Rome (ie, near the Termini) so we deliberately went outside of Rome and found the Mercure. Just 3 stops from the Termini on the Metro and only a 2 minute walk from the Metro station. Our longest wait for a train was probably 2 minutes so we were in the centre within 5 minutes. The hotel was very clean, and despite being located next door to a primary school, the room was quiet. Clean bar with very friendly service and excellent desk staff. Negatives were the completely ineffective air conditioning (it did work, just felt no effect - as with every hotel we stayed in in Europe) and no free wi-fi (which was not advertised in the defence of the hotel). Breakfast was more than adequate.
