“Impressive service, excellent location”
A very friendly hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful. The roof-top terrace/bar with an outdoor pool is delightful. The location is fantastic. The Colosseum is about 300m away and opposite the hotel is one of the oldest and most intersting churches in Rome. The remains of Nero's largest palace is in the park behind the hotel and the Roman forum is 10 minutes walk away. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to be near sites of interest. But you are also close enough to the centre of Rome to get anywhere within 10-15 minutes by taxi or 20-30 minutes by bus.
“Great Location”
The hotel is located in a great location. The room was a little on the small side but was always clean. The rooftop pool is a great feature although it did get a bit busy at times. A great hotel in a great location. We would stay there again.
“Roma”
“Excellent”
Really pleased with the hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable, hotel quiet, refreshing to be able to have swim after long days walking around Rome. Can see Colosseum from the pool/ roof terrace.
“Hotel met all our needs & we'd recommend ..”
We found the hotel easily having arrived by train & metro from the Airport costing a fraction of a taxi fare - we were greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist who also provided us with a city centre map. Our room was clean and spacious with a balcony that had great views of the Colosseum, and our only criticism would be that the bathroom although functional was a bit on the small side. We didn't have the breakfast as it was pricey and found local cafes nearby for coffee & pastries - theres also a couple of Tratorias in the streets opposite the hotel entrance that do very reasonable evening meals, although if dining around 8.30-9.00pm you may have to wait for a table. Although there is no tea & coffee making facilites in the room, there is a coffee machine in the bar area from which you can serve yourself a complimentary coffee to start & finish the day if you so wish. On our tours round we found the hotel was in a good location and on many of the transport routes around the city if you didn't want to walk - the trevi fountain & spanish steps are about a 20-25 minute walk once you have your bearings. We'd definitely return to this hotel again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
“Charmant accueil. Vue sur le Colisée. Piscine sur le toit. Nour rêvons d'y retourner.”
Très bel hôtel dans un merveilleux quartier près du Colisée. Charmant accueil d'un personnel disponible et souriant.
“Great pool and location. Very friendly staff.”
This hotel has a great location just minutes from the Colosseum. Staff were very polite and helpful. The pool on the roof was excellent and great for cooling down in the afternoon. My room was clean and had everything I needed for my visit.
“I wish i could go back to Rome !”
Great location because it is near the Colosseum. Hotel staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. I recommend this hotel if your planning on visiting Rome.
“A good choice”
The hotel position is very convenient, and would be hard to beat for sightseeing. The room was comfortable and clean, but not spacious. Staff were very welcoming, polite, friendly, efficient and helpful. There are also some quite good restaurants and bars nearby (although there are also some bad ones, so some care in choosing where to eat is required). The better restaurants seem to be further afield.
“New Year's Eve in Rome”
Overall we were very happy with the hotel. There were a few drawbacks, as in a bad odor coming from the drains, but I've noticed this in other hotels too...venting the windows took care of this immediately. Only other issue was the carpet was rather worn and dirty. We liked the area for its convenience to public transportation. Metro stop is right by the Colosseum at the end of the street. Street car #3 stops just in front of the hotel...take this in the direction of the Colosseum and it will eventually take you to Trastevere a nice neighborhood where I got one of the best chicken kebab pitas that I've had yet in Europe! Also, there is a nice little neighborhood across the street with lots of restaurants and shops including a small grocery about 3 blocks distant. A small cafe opposite the church on the other side of the street offers a cafe latte for 1 euro if youre standing at the bar...a good deal!!! The church across from the hotel is interesting as it has access to medieval crypts and an ancient Roman Mythraic cult site. We did not eat in the hotel and though the breakfast buffet looked good, the 15 euro price was way too steep to justify it,,, The bar was typical of a hotel of this type with average prices...a better deal was taking a bottle of port from the grocery to the roof/pool deck and watching the sun set in the direction of the Colosseum! : ) ONE IMPORTANT THING!! Get a corner room...they are spacious and have large baths...other rooms are TINY!!!
