“A home away from home!”
Great, friendly, helpful staff. Warm, inviting rooms. Great rooftop bar and breakfast room. Central to EVERYWHERE!! Excellent experience there - would stay there again and again!
“Excellent location”
This hotel was recommended to us by friends and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.Staff were friendly, polite and extremely helpful. Very clean hotel. We were situated in the adjacent building, slightly disappointed initially, however, we were offered a room in the main hotel and after viewing the room offered, stayed where we were as it was a much larger room. Good location, near to 2 metro stations and within walking distance of all major tourist sites. Numerous restaurants in the surrounding area, offering a range of cuisine to suit most tastes.
“Rome hotel a few blocks from train station”
Convenient and very nice hotel, four blocks from the Rome Termini train station and only a few blocks from the Metro Station.
“Very comfortable hotel”
Extremely friendly staff, great view from the restaurant on the top floor. The room was very comfortable, clean and nice bathroom with space.
“Excellent Hotel”
The Hotel Mecenate Palace is an excellent hotel. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel and we are already booked to stay there again on our next trip to Rome this year. The Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of all the major sites in Rome. The staff is professional and courteous. The hotel is neat, clean and quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome as the place to stay. I have stayed at 4 other hotels before finding the Hotel Mecenate Palace and this is the one I continue to go back too.
“Great hotel in a good location”
We had an excellent experience at the Mecenate Palace. We arrived just before midday expecting to leave our cases and come back later to check in but we were told our room would be ready in 10 minutes - brilliant after an early flight and journey from the airport. We were on the executive floor which wasn't part of the main hotel but we loved it (especially as we had only paid for a standard room!) It was down the street a little and then up a marble staircase with a security door that you had to use your key for. Inside there was a security guard at the desk, we got taken trhough a little courtyard to our room which was huge! The bed was massive, there was a seperate seating area and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub which was very welcome after a long day walking around the sights. TV was small but we didnt use it and you can have radio in the room and in the bathroom (channel 2 was best for us!) It is easy walking distance to the colossuem and we walked to most of the sights from the hotel, just using the metro to get to vatican city and to the spanish steps. Breakfast was good, meats, cheeses, pastrys, rolls, cereal and fruit and lots of nutella and yummy yoghurt. Staff were very friendly and we had a great holiday in Rome which was enhanced by our stay at the Mecenate Palace
“Very good hotel”
staff very helpful and room small but comfortable, breakfast was very good and on the the roof top terrace but drinks were very expensive, obscenely so.
“Great stay!”
We stayed a week in March. Service was great. Very good breakfast. It is within three blocks of the train/metro station. I would go back in a heartbeat.
“Great location”
about 400m from the Termini station. Easy to find. Tried to check in early, but they did not have a room yet. They put us in an apartment in the adjoining building. No problem. Only there one night. Out of the nasty area around the Termini. Pleasant, safe, on the tour bus line, 20 minutes to the major sites (east of the river)
“Great hotel”
The Mecenate Hotel was absolutely lovely, the service was excellent and the hotel very clean, it is also very central to both the Metro and the bus service. I would strongly recommend staying here.
