We were never sent codes to get in. This is not a hotel. We stopped going to AB&B because of this, never again will we stay at such a small place.

This is false. We give door code to every guest. Why not to you? And yes, this is not an hotel, but a bed and breakfast, it is written everywhere. Name is: Bed & breakfast Maior. And we don't understand your feedback. We have generally 5/5 or 4/5 like feedback.

The bed are as hard as rocks.. very old bed..basic do it yourself breakfast. Too expensive for what they offer. Great location.

Generally guests say that beds are soft. So...I don't know... And if you look other reviews we have very good feedback for price/quality...So...I don't know...

The place is very clean and nice. The problem is that the private bathroom is not in your room, its about 4 doors down. They should have provide us with bathrobe cause your in a public area. They advertise as a full buffet breakfast but its not its more like continental breakfast

A lot of reviews on Expedia are false. Bathroom is not 4 doors down but one. And you have bathroom outseide because you reserve room with bathroom outside, for that reason you payed low. Is not written full buffet breakfast. And that means nothing. Anyway everything is well written

Very convenient place to stay as it is close to the main station and all of Rome attractions. Lidia was very responsive and Leo really made our stay unforgettable and hassle free.

Staff was amazing! Location great! People were going on and out all night and the doors slam so it was a bit hard to get sleep but isn't not anything the hotel can do. It's the age of the building.

Great place near Termini Station
I stayed here for one day each at the beginning and end of my trip. It is a very lovely place. Less than 10 minutes from Termini Station so super convenient if you have to leave early or just want a quick commute to the station, and directly across the street from Santa Maria Maggiore. The room was super clean, good shower and bathroom, able to close the windows for complete darkness at night or keep them open with light curtains. They were easy to communicate with. You do have to arrange your arrival because there is not a front desk, but they allow for pretty early check-in (10 and 11 am for our two stays). Even being in a fairly busy area of the city, it was quiet at night. Would definitely recommend.

Close to train station
Staff are excellent, we flew all night we were greeted upon arrival and able to check in and rest. A bit a of a walk to Spanish steps and Trevi fountain about 25minutes but it's a nice walk. Once you figure out how to get in (ring door bell for msuit on left side of door ) there is no sign outside but once you get in the main door there are clear signs for maior B&B. Room was huge! Needs a little updating but very comfortable! Cute sidewalk cafe outside door. Lots if shops on same block for water, food.

I am happy you was good but I am sorry for water. We turn up the power of the boiler, so is sure you there is no problem in the future. I am sorry because you didn't tell me this problem. I could turn up the power for you. I don't understand that.

A good choice.
Old style building in keeping with Rome. An apartment rather than hotel, but staff available periodically and were very helpful. Ours was a large very comfortable room, a big bathroom, with great view of street and Cathedral, but we noted other much smaller rooms also available. On the first floor and we used the stairs rather than the very experienced and small lift. Very well located, 5 minutes from Termi rail station and handy for mass on Sunday. Wi - fi available but was a bit weak at times. Breakfast was basic and self serve , but adequate. Would stay again.

My Stay at the Maior In Rome
While the accommodation was clean and tidy, sleeping was difficult as you could hear all the noise from the hall way and the street due to all floors having hard surfaces. Secondly, there never was enough hot water for showers, three, No iron or ironing boards so guests could iron their clothes and last, no microwave oven in the common kitchen so guests could heat up food if they didn't want to eat out every night.

Classic rooms
High vaulted ceiling and plenty of light greeted us at the Hotel Maior. Stefanos and Leopold made sure that we had everything that we needed. 3 minutes from Termini and 15- 20 minutes from most of the historical sites, Hotel Maior offered a great value for visiting travellers. We would definitely come back.

Hello,thanks for your feedback. Breakfast consists in: tea , coffe (Nespresso, famous italian coffe), toast, kellog’s, melba tost, jam, nutella, butter, fruit juice, mineral water , milk, 2 kinds of cookies and bread. This is a little bed & breakfast so I don't where you read we have eggs and meat. Tv is in italian because we are in Italy. Maior is not an hotel. So you don't have service of an hotel, but you have a better price. Thank you

Great B&B, great location and great accommodations
Great place to stay. Close to Termini and many good restaurants nearby. Rooms are spare, clean and functional. Very welcoming staff. Breakfast is mostly packaged items and in room coffee so it will do for some and not enough for others. overall I would definitely stay here again.

Great little hotel!!
Very comfortable. Checking in was a little difficult because there is no one on site, however once that was taken care of we were very comfortable. Liked having the little communal kitchen with refrigerator for snacks, and our room had an incredible view of Santa Maria de Maggiore, especially at night. No complaints at all!

Perfect location and clean nice room
Maior was a wonderful stay. It felt beautiful with the marble floors and nice simple decor. The breakfast was adequate and temperature in spring was great. Only problem was only enough hot water for one shower.

Great Bed and breakfast
Maior is amazing. It is beautiful, clean and the staff is very hospitable. The only downside is that the street is a bit noisy.

Excellent b and b.
We texted our arrival and were met promptly and taken up to our room. A map was provided and information was available about the sights. An added bonus of the Maior was access to a kitchen to make tea/coffee or heat up meals, unheard of in Rome and much appreciated. We stayed at a hotel for our last 2 nights supposedly upmarket but wished we had continued our stay at the Maior where we had privacy, space and comfort all for a very reasonable price.

Good value for money but a bit noisy
The room was quite small, but clean and (importantly!) with excellent air conditioning. The bathroom was slightly disappointing, being down the corridor, although it was spotless and for my use only - the shower was pretty good, too. The main disappointment was that the soundproofing of the room was poor. You expect some traffic noise in Rome, and this wasn't too bad. The worst of the noise was from the people in the room opposite who had their TV on loud until late and could only seem to talk at the tops of their voices! If you're lucky and have considerate fellow residents, this B&B is fairly basic but clean and good value for money.

Wonderful quiet stay
Quiet and comfortable small B&B w/ extremely clean rooms. In some cases the bathroom (your own private bath) is down the hall. There a several keys to deal w/, so if you are not a seasoned European traveler, used to skeleton keys and small elevators up a short flight of stairs, skip this jewel. I loved the location and the comfort. You will have your own small frig in the room w/ access to a larger one in communal kitchen, for tea and coffee, light breakfast.. Personal safe is in room. This is a very nice and reasonably priced B&B. Highly recommended.

Very nice place to stay..but needs more hot water.
We had a nice stay. The Maior was very clean. The bed was comfy. The towels and linens were soft and decent quality. We received great email instructions in advance of our stay to know how to get there and keep in touch with them regarding our arrival time (they only have 4 rooms, so there is not always a staff member there). They were flexible and accommodating when our flight arrival time changed. The location is quite good since it is close to the train station, which is also a perfect place to catch many of the local buses. We knew not to expect a fancy breakfast, but it was even simpler than expected. We had one issue that was a problem for us...a serious lack of hot water. When showering, the hot water would start to dwindle before one of us was finished and the second person literally had to take a cold shower. The hot water issue was most unfortunate since we really liked the other aspects of our stay at the Maior.

Great location, secure and flexible.
Positives: Great location. Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. Fab/ Flexible breakfast facility. Comfy bed. Lovely view of church. Safe in room. Facility to leave luggage after checkout. Negatives: Rooms a bit noisy due to marble floors and thin doors - especially when cleaning in progress, Hot water occasionally ran out (two hours to reheat). Overall - Highly recommended!
