“An Oasis in Rome to which we would definitely return”
Le Tre Suites is a lovely small hotel - it's a house in an expensive area of Rome near the Borghese Park. We had a really nice stay there, thanks to the staff who were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was very big with classic old furniture, beautiful big shuttered windows and a lovely bathroom with an old fashioned bathtub in it (no shower). It was great returning after a busy day walking in the centre of Rome and taking a bath in the bathtub. The hotel is in a residential area of Rome, but there is a frequent bus service into the city and you can also walk down the hill past the park into the centre. We ate breakfast in the garden every morning surrounded by banana trees and cacti.
“You won't be Disappointed”
We booked last minute with Expedia and got a good price, good flights and nice location in Rome. We thought too good to be true but were not disappointed. Flights went smoothly and hotel/guest house were expecting us despite booking last minute. A 12 euro taxi from Tremini on arrival or 1 euro bus ride. Lots of rip off taxis waiting to pounce on new arrivals so be careful. Le Tre Suites is in a nice location although a few km North of the city. About a 30-40 minute walk to the Spanish Steps though a lovely park so not that far (after a day walking in Rome get the bus back). The buses and trams are easy to use. For a 1 euro ticket (from the tabac) you can travel anywhere in Rome valid for 75 minutes after getting on your first transport). This is plenty of time. The hotel was lovely. The room was spacious with a bed room and living area. We had breakfast outside every morning which was lovely. Freddy who runs the pace speaks great English and is a joy to talk too. Very helpful in advising how to bus/tram and locations to visit. We found the restaurants near the hotel to be wonderful despite being slighly outside the centre (Can be slightly expensive but worth it). We had a wonderful trip and found the Hotel to be more than good value. Would go to Hotel again and will use Expedia again.
“A fantastic little hotel in a quiet location”
Fantastic small hotel/ guest house in a quiet residential setting. Town can be reached by a short bus ride (see below) or a 20 minute walk through Villa Bourgese Park to Via Veneto. Rooms are large, airy and well decorated, air-con, satellite Tv and comfortable double bed. Only minor issue was the lack of separate shower - only a bath with shower head, although this was fine. Service was great with staff happy to help and accomodate. Breakfast can be served in your room or in the garden - great choice of breakfast and well prepared. All in all a superb place to stay for a trip to Rome - well recommended and would happily return.
“loved it!”
The Tre Suites was an oasis of calm in a mad city. We loved coming back there at the end of a hard day's sight seeing. It was quite a walk from the city but a pleasant one through the park. Armando worked really hard to make our stay such a pleasant one and he recommended a great restaurant just around the corner. The room was large and comfortable, quite quiet with a great bathroom. The court yard setting for breakfast was lovely.
“Beutiful interiors and large rooms in a quiet area of Rome next to the park.”
We were very happy with our stay at Tres Suites. The room was very large with a bedroom and seperate livingroom and large bathroom. The hotel has lovely interiors, we stayed in the China room. The hotel is situated in a residential neighbourhood next to the large park in Rome. During the day you can walk through the pretty park to town centre otherwise there is a very good bus service. There are frequent buses direct to the trainstation (119), coloseum (3) or fontana di trevi area (52). Buy the day pass in the newsagents and then you just jump on and of. It is a nice and quiet area to be staying. Breakfast can be taken in the room or in the pretty little courtyard. Freddie and staff are very helpful and English speaking. We really recommend staying here.
“Don't stay in the 'dependance' room! Otherwise, it's lovely”
This is a very small hotel in a quiet street. It's no distance to tram and bus stops, and you can walk down through the Borghese Park to the Metro at Spagna. There are good restaurants nearby - we used Taverna Rossini and a nice Mozzarella Bar (Akido). The staff - Armando and Valentina - are very friendly and Armando works very hard to be helpful (successfully!). Breakfast is OK - a limited choice but pleasantly served in the small garden by Armando (or it can be in your room ; there is no breakfast room). There is one big but, however! There is one room, separate from the main building, called the 'Dependance' room. It is in a former garage or washhouse. It is quite strange and not very attractive. We asked to be moved - after five days we were, to a very nice room in the main building. The couple who then arived and got the 'Dependance' room were very unhappy with it. It is certainly one to avoid. The main part of it is dark and unwelcoming, with a terrible old scratched wardrobe (no other storage place for clothes), and you go down four steps to below ground level for the bathroom, which is very gloomy (and needs to be repainted). There is no door to the bathroom, only some hanging beads, with a consequent lack of privacy. I must stress that Armando keeps this room very clean, the bed, though firm, is comfortable and it is quite possible to stay in it (we did), but I would not choose to do so. It's a pity, because otherwise the hotel has character and is attractive.
“Wonderful stay in Rome”
WONDERFUL! WONDERFUL! WONDERFUL! Our family stay of seven days at Le Tre Suites was wonderful. Armando and Valentina made us feel at home and were so friendly and helpful. Armando's breakfast in the gardens is a delight and so relaxing. This really is a "home away from home". Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
