“Quiet hotel, excellent location!”

Brilliant location, within walking distance of all of ancient Rome. Staff happily accommodated our request from road facing room to courtyard room after the first night - cobblestone roads are rather noisy. Room was clean and perfectly furnished. Only negative was hard beds - although new memory foam beds, could not get comfortable as we're used to a softer bed. Concierge was most helpful in trying to trace my lost bag, suggesting excellent places to visit, transit options, and willingness to help in any way. Would definitely return!

“friendly, clean with a great location, definately a 6”

The staff were accomading and friendly, the rooms were very clean and modern.the breakfast was a great way to start your day. My wife and I booked this hotel as it was our 25th wedding anniversay and we were very happy with our choice. My wife had not travelled without the children in 25 years so it has to be special and it was. the room was very comfortable especially at the end of the day after walking everywhere. It was nice to come back to a comfortable room with the AC at max.The staff werre really friendly and spoke english very well. we werec lost to everything even the vatican was only a 25 monte walk. the closeim and cicu maximous were just around the corner. We are already planning our trip for next year! I would recommend this hotel all day long

“When in Rome.....Kolbe is the place to stay”

The Kolbe Hotel Rome was clean, comfortable and close to everything within 30 min. walking distance to all the major tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet was great and the staff both in the restaurant and the hotel were accommodating and very pleasant. We cannot express into words how much we appreciated the wonderful treatment my husband and I received during our stay there especially by Favio at the front counter and Forina in the restaurant! They both need to be commended for going above and beyond their call of duty to make our stay a very pleasant one! We cannot thank them enough for making us feel so welcome and at home! This hotel is a non-smoking property, very clean; the staff were more than accommodating and it's close proximity to everything, including the wonderful buffet breakfast ......what more can anyone ask for? The courtyard is very relaxing as well for breakfast or just for some quiet R&R....with the beautiful palm trees, lemon trees and since it was September, we missed the flowers....but still beautiful just the same. We will defintely stay again at the Kolbe on our next trip to Rome. I have referred this wonderful hotel to others who have asked about our stay. Once again, Thank you so much Favio and Florina for making our stay at the Kolbe very enjoyable!

“Would return.”

Booked two rooms for our four person family. Got last two, horribly small tired rooms in the hotel. Brought the issue up with manager, who moved us to a two floor loft family room. Small but absolutely wonderful. Breakfast buffet was great. Front desk staff was great. Location was great, but not many restaurants in close location. Long walk to metro subway.

“Location! Location! Location!”

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and our week long stay here. Our room was comfortable and so close to everything in the Ancient City. Around the corner to the right was the most delightful bar called Anima Mundi which had live entertainment, great food and Georgia the bartender made great cocktails and conversation. To the left and left again we found a Wine Bar, a couple of restaurants and a delightful deli/convenience store called Specialita Alimentari. We also found a local weekend market minutes away. Ten Minutes away was Piazza Venezia, the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Constantine's Arch, the Jewish Ghetto and Trastavere. Twenty minutes walking gets you to the market, Pantheon, Navona, chique shopping, trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. In addition, the hotel has a delightful garden, a great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, a cute little bar and a unique environment. We loved the modern furnishings and the spaciousness. The bed was hard but we obtained extra pillows to combat the problem. It was a perfect stay which enhanced our Rome trip.

“Good Hotel”

We stayed at he Kolbe late July 2011 for a couple of nights. The hotel was conveniently located, had a decent little bar and restaurant. it was clean and comfortable, the staff was very good for the interaction we had, and for Europe, the room was fair size. Several good restaurants a couple of minutes walk. The Palatino was across the street and Colloseum 5 minutes walk.

Overall it was pretty good. Clean, modern etc. My only complaint was the noisy first floor room.

“location is good but...”

the location was great...unfortunately I was disappointed by just about everything else from the cleanliness of the room, sheets etc to the speed of the internet.
