“hotel magnifique”
“"Delightful hotel, terrific staff, good location"”
The Hotel Veneto is in a very good location for visitors who want to walk to several of Rome's popular attractions. My husband and I are in our late fifties, not athletic, but were still able to walk to many of the sights, or catch convenient tour buses within a few blocks of the hotel. Complimentary breakfast was very good and hearty, and our room and hotel facilities were immaculate! Rooftop lounge was great for wonderful views of the city at night, and the neighborhood was safe, friendly and loaded with delightful cafes. We can't say enough about how great the staff was. We would definitely choose this hotel again.
“Hotel Veneto, Rome”
I was not initially satisfied with my room but the manager was more than willing to work things out with me. He allowed me and my wife to look at each of the available rooms and pick whichever one best suited our needs for our weeklong stay! The concierge was also extrememly knowledgeable and helpful with providing recommendations and directions. The breakfast was basic but very pleasant: espresso, cappuccino, fresh fruit, pastries, toast, deli meats, cheese, cereal. If you stay here you MUST MUST MUST got to the nearby Pizzeria Al Forno Della Soffitta and Gelateria I Caruso!!! We specifically chose this hotel for the down comforters, the air-conditioning, and its short distance to the Borghese Park (several great dirt running trails). We were extremely satisfied and, even though it's a sweaty 15 minute walk to city center, we'd still do it all over again. Ciao!
“Very Comfortable and helpful”
The rooms including beds and bathroom were very comfortable. It was quiet even with the window open at night (May). The staff was very attentive and helpful. They had someone available to help plan our time in Rome including making reservations, finding bus routes etc. The hotel is very near a bus stop. The shuttle service from the hotel to the airport was great.
“Very friendly staff”
The staff at Hotel Veneto were extremely nice and helpful. They upgraded our room at no additional charge. The adjacent building is under repair, but the room was beautiful and clean. Gorgeous views for the included buffet breakfast. We had a very early flight home and the hotel has a convenient shuttle service and arranged a 5 am pick up for us.
“very nice hotel”
breakfast is average
“Can't wait to go back”
Great comfortable rooms with very friendly staff and great location.
“Long walk to sights, but good staff and look”
Getting to the hotel and the staff right away was very friendly and helpful, gave us ideas for things to do and directions for local things. All of the staff spoke english very well which was a big help for us. Rooms were small but very clean. We walked everywhere in Rome, and it was a bit of a hike to the touristy spots, but we basically stayed in the hotels general area when eating because of the large amount of nice restaurants on Veneto. right near the hotel. Overall very nice hotel with a great staff.
“Very Impressed”
This hotel was beautiful, rooms and facilities was more than adequate. The staff was very helpful and cheerful, breakfast was lovely.Would stay in this hotel again if visiting Rome.
“Comfortable, convenient and great value”
I'm a frequent visitor to Rome and this is the second time I have stayed at the Hotel Veneto. On both occasions, the rooms I have stayed in have been larger than average for a Roman hotel (on my latest stay it was very spacious and so was the bathroom). The rooms have marble floors, large firm beds, flatscreen TV, handpainted furniture and minibar. The bathrooms are fantastic with large mirrors, good lighting, jacuzi baths and powerful showers, plus heaps of fresh clean towels, complimentary toiletries and even slippers. The renovatins definitely seem to be complete - it's a very peaceful place now, something of an oasis in what can be a hectic city. The staff are friendly and helpful - taxis are ordered and arrive in 2 minutes. They were a great help when I realised that I'd messed up my booking and needed to arrive a couple of nights earlier - even guaranteeing me the reduced nightly rate on the extended nights. This is amazingly good value by Rome's standards. Yes the coffee from a machine at breakfast is a travesty for Italy but just ask and you'll be brought a proper cappuccino. But anyway this is Rome there's fantastic coffee available everywhere (a geat little local bar serving great cornetti and espresso just a block down from the hotel). I will definitely be staying there again.
