“Hotel Splendide Royal”

Beautiful boutique hotel in great location close the Spanish Steps, Via Veneto and Museo Borghese. The staff, especially at the front desk are exceptionally good. If I have one complaint it is that the food and beverage charges are outrageous. Breakfast at 35 Euros is a complete rip-off and the restaurant may be the most expensive I have ever seen. Dont be out off as there are dozens of other places to eat close by at much more reasonable prices.

“Consistently awesome staff and service!!”

This was my 4th time in this hotel and I have to say that I just love it! The staff in the Splendide is amazing and go out of their way to make me feel so welcome, especially on my return visits, which is a lot to say, as the level of service is consistent. I must give a shout out to Anastasia for her "above and beyond" service...it really made my day to return so late to an upgraded suite! Thank you again! I will return...

“great views, especially at sunset.”

great views from the restaurants and great location. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. we asked for a third bed and the upcharge seemed excessive.

“Beautiful”

The hotel is beautiful. The carpet's and drapes are in need of some serious cleaning. My allergies began acting up immediately upon entering the room. The rooms are beautifully decorated though. The bathrooms are huge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant wasn't all it is cracked up to be, but the view and the service is worth every penny. Very romantic.

“An exceedenly great hotel with wonderful staff”

One expects a certain level of service at a five star hotel. However, this hotel, its staff, the quality of the food service, care and attention to personal needs and concierge service greatly exceeded our expectations. The personal level of service, willingness to go above and beyond when required, make this hotel exceptional. The concierge was not only helpful, but when my wife needed dental care, not only arranged for her to see a specialist, but personally escorted us to the dentist. I would highly recommend this hotel and will plan on staying there each time i return to Rome. I consider it a home away from home. A truly five star experience.

“5 Star Splendide Royal earns First Star on our trip...”

Clean, quiet,well maintained and well located. Delightfully appointed, reasonably sized rooms by European standards. Staff were friendly and very helpful with our every need and exude a caring attitude. They seem very proud of their hotel and genuinely want you to like it too! Breakfast buffet, while virtually the same every morning, has plentiful choices,is universally delicious,and good value as part of the "room and breakfast" package. we would definitely stay here again

“Excellent hotel”

The hotel itself was excellent in every respect. The location was in one of the best locations in Rome, yet very accessible to almost all other parts; the only time we paid for taxi was when going to the airport on the last day. Everywhere else we either comfortably walked or used the nearby metro. The hotel was extremely luxurious. The complimentary pool and first class spa in the nearby sister hotel was a pleasant surprise. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and professional. I do recommend getting the included breakfast, as the prices are otherwise astronomical. All and all, one of the best hotels I have ever been to.

“Excellent!!”

This was my first time in Rome and booked this hotel via Expedia. I was thoroughly impressed with the hotel and the staff!! The location is near enough to everything, however its still located in a relatively quiet spot so its restful when you finally get back to the hotel to sleep!! I would recommend this hotel for anyone and was well worth it!! Though I didn't try the restaurant, I did order room service and had a seafood risotto that was fantastic!

“Wonderful, a true 5 star hotel”

Having the opportunity to travel extensively, I can say that this is my wife's and my favorite hotel. The staff are excellent, the rooms and appearance of the hotel are unmatched and the ambiance cannot be better. It is a truly 5 star European hotel.This was our fourth time staying at the hotel and we found it gets better and better every time.
