“Very Elegant”

I would definitely go back to this hotel. Be sure to have breakfast included with your room or you will probably not eat in the hotel because it is expensive. We tried the michelin starred restaurant Mirabelle and it was very good, extremely elegant and extremely expensive. One comment I would like to pass on...the airport ride in the taxi is actually regulated by the government and to this hotel it should cost 40 euros either to or from the airport but the taxi drivers will try to charge what is on the meter. Even the doorman at the Splendide Royal tried to have me negotiate with the driver for 45 euros. I said "fine" but when I arrived at the airport the driver wanted me to pay what was on the meter 51 euros. When I said I thought the price was 40 he said 45 and when I said no 40 he said yes, 40!

“Treated like family and friends”

Selecting a hotel in Rome was quite a challenge - there are so many to pick from. And, given that my husband and I are workaholic Americans with barely time to take off, we wanted to make sure this vacation was well worth it. A hotel and its staff can make or break the vacation, based on the hotel's accomodations and how you are treated by the staff. Splendide Royal is an excellent choice for anyone traveling to Rome. The rooms are luxurious and clean with all the amenities of home. Our bathroom was beautiful, spacious and stocked with everything from bath salts to sewing kit supplies. The shower was full-powered complete with towel warmers. The room was so comfortable and soundproof that we slept better there than we had in months. Every staff member we spoke with was not only pleasant, professional and friendly but treated us like friends staying over, not just customers. The desk staff and doorman spoke perfect English and was always eager to help. Whether we were asking for a taxi or a tour recommendation, everyone was willing to make sure our trip to Rome was a wonderful experience. The restaurants were also very nice, and the complimentary morning breakfast had just what we needed to trek off to Rome for the day. The hotel's location was situated perfectly to the sights, many in walking distance. I would definitely return to the Splendide Royal and recommend it to everyone that plans on a visit to Rome.

The staff and service at this hotel left nothing to be desired. The room was spotless and the staff always pleasant and seemed eager to help in any way they could. It was a great place to be for our 25th anniversary. Especially since the management had champagne chilling in the room for us! We would definitely stay there again.

The elegantly small atmosphere and the friendly staff of the hotel made me feel at home immediately. We enjoyed the substantial breakfast each morning that was included with the room. We also dined at the sumptuous restaurant there, Mirabelle, that has a view of almost the entire city of Rome, including the Vatican dome. The restaurant balcony is also a great place to go for a nightcap of champagne or cognac and cigars where you can sit and enjoy the Roman skyline at night. The hotel location was perfect for everything we wanted to do, and the rooms were very quiet. Can't recommend it highly enough, and I am very picky!

Everything about the Splendide Royal is fantastic. Walk out the Front Turn Left then Right and your at the Spanish Steps, over looking the best designer shops in the world. The Mirabelle Restaraunt has exquisite Food and Service, and is no surprise people travel from all over to taste it's delicacies. The Staff in the Whole Hotel are extremely helpful and are always to hand to help whatever is required. No Attraction is to far away. and the View from the Top Floor Restaraunt and Breath taking, with views across the City of Rome. Couldnt pick a better hotel to get engaged in on a wonderful Valentines day trip.

The hotel is very well located for sight seeing (very close to the spanish steps). Service levels were excellent and the restuarant is highly recommended. A great dining experience with excellent maitre d'and waiting staff.

Hotel Splendide is in a great location - close to everything you want to visit but far enough to be rather peaceful. the wiews overlooking our room and the restaurant were wonderful. we stayed in a deluxe room which was great. the staff were very friendly and professional. overall we were very happy staying there and would certainly recommend this hotel.

“Great Place Nice People”

Close to everything Via Veneto,Spanish Steps,we even walked to the Vatican. Great breakfast. Jr Suite is a nice room with a shower,tub and view of the park. Francesco, Luca and the staff at the front desk are very helpful. We will stay here again.....
