“Awesome after the 1st Night”
I would've put a 5 for all categories however upon our arrival to Hotel Solis there was a problem and they sent us to their other hotel which is called Hotel Invictus which was further away from where we wanted to be and didn't seem too safe, we had to walk quite far to find open shops and somewhere to eat as we arrived there late on a sunday afternoon after a long flight. The room there was very clean however very very small which i know is expected in europe. The next day we had the option to go back to Hotel Solis which we jumped at straight away and it was better than we imagined. So close to all attractions, our room was sooo much bigger and overlooked via Cavour. The restaurants and stores at our doorstep it was all amazing so apart from that 1st initial night it was all great and i would definitely go back. I love Rome definite tops in my itinerary!
“Good place to stay”
The hotel is nice. It is very close to Coloseum and Fore Imperiali and that was most important. Restaurants and shops are close. Hotel was also very close to main metro, bus and train station Termini. Some of front desk people did not speak good English. Room was small, but very clean, and with all you need: air condition, TV and cable, fridge. I loved it and would stay there again.
“Good value small hotel in excellent location”
Hotel was simple but had all the essential features, big room, air conditioning, very clean rooms, tv and internet access. Location was excellent, walking distance to Colosseo and good value restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful.
“impressed”
We were very happy with our stay at the Hotel Solis. we were made to feel very welcome and the staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble. We found the hotel very clean and was situated ideally for all attractions.I would recommend this hotel.
“Great location”
This hotel was within short walking distance to Forum and Colosseum. Clean quiet hotel. Seemed homey. We would definitely stay here again.
“Great location, friendly staff.”
Two blocks from the Forum & Colosseum, close to a great number of restaurants, gelaterias & the standard tourist souvenir shops. Easy access to buses & 2 metro stations. Clean room, air conditioning, reliable hot water. Servicable but not outstanding continental breakfast. Only drawback is the charge for wi-fi & the low bandwidth of the service.
“Perfect location, great staff!”
This hotel was in a perfect location, from our window/balcony you could see the Roman forum. The area is full of great restaurants, gift shops, bars, and basically anything you need or could want. Every major site, even the Vatican is within Walking distance. The room was ready at 9am when we arrived, which was very convenient. The service desk workers were fluent in English, and very helpful. The breakfast was very nice, coffee, tang and a pastry. The internet Wi-Fi at the hotel costs $7 euro for 3 hours, but there are close internet places that cost .50 per half hour. Small shower, large comfy bed, and a big room. Great value, would stay there every time after.
“A refaire”
“Convenient, quiet, comfortable and clean. What more do you need?”
Ideally placed for the Forum and Colosseum, the Hotel Solis offers simple clean accommodation at a very reasonable price. Breakfast is self-service in a tiny breakfast room but is perfectly adequate. Staff were helpful and there are several good value restaurants nearby. A short bus ride from the station. Our triple room had a double and a single bed, so beware if you want individual beds, and the rooms are compact but this is central Rome so you're generalyl out and about. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
