“Couple and Our friend from Caracas Highly Recommend Hotel”
My wife and I (Her friend joined us from Caracas)stayed at the hotel for 10 nights, we used it as our Euro Rail hub to spend a day in Florence, Venice, Pisa, and Naples (Capri). We had a great trip. Our room was a(double)her friends was a (Single) they were small but nice and always clean. The bath is nice, but I would learn to shower with out moving much. The breakfast was fantastic and was great for starting the day off. I cannot say enough about the staff other than very very helpful and helped to make our stay better. The free use of the computer in the lobby is a definite plus. Be aware that there are pick pockets all over Rome and the other cities, especially in the Metro area. Suggest if you do not need it or plan on using it do not carry with you (Keep in room safe). Copy of passport is acceptable. My wallet was stolen the 1st day, but thanks to American Express, they had everything cancelled with 10 minutes after my call and I had no mystery charges. They even sent me a new card within 3 days. When I filed the police report, they mentioned there are 100 to 200 wallets a day stolen. With all that happened, great hotel and great trip.
“Great Hotel”
Outstanding staff and hotel. It is only a 5-10 minute walk to the Metro Station which easily takes you to key stops in the historic section of Rome for 1 Euro.
“Great Place to Stay”
We read the reviews and stayed at this hotel because of them. We agree the hotel is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had maps and bus routes on hand ready for us. Our room was great. We were ready to a nice place to say after the other hotels in London and Paris. The hotel is a little out of the way but a nice place to stay.
“Nice Hotel for the price”
Hotel staff were very friendly and informative about the area. Breakfast was excellent.
“satisfaction guaranteed!!!!!!!!!”
we chose this hotel at an internet cafe in marseille at the very last minute. We only had the reviews to go by and had no idea what to expect....after a long overnight train ride where the air conditioning broke down, we arrived to this place and were greeted with a warm welcome. he staff are friendly and the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are spacious with tall ceilings and modern decor. there are balconnies in most of the rooms with access from wooden french doors. The bathrooms are bright and clean with all the amenities you need.....great breakfast and clean hotel. Definitly a place to come back to....the only downside is that you have to take a bus into central rome, it is about a fifteen minute ride if the traffic is good but honestly the location is worth it as it is quiet and feels pretty safe. Check out the chinese resteraunt arount the corner to the right...it has great authentic food for 2-3 euros per dish..we loved it and ate there alot!!!!
“Wished we had stayed here from the start”
The rooms are a decent size and the bathroom is well sized. The rooms were lovely and clean and quite modern. It was the middle of summer and the rooms were not too hot. The breakfast is included and there was ample and the staff were friendly.
“A busy hotel, but very comfortable”
It's some way outside the city wall and the action but once you have found your way round the city the hotel reasonably situated. We recommend this one for the friendly service, the room was made clean and tidy every day. Oh,and they have a free internet service
“2nd visit Aug 08 and will go for 3rd next year”
Hotel St Paul is a bed and breakfast hotel with the most amazing breakfasts served, which would cater for any tastes as there is a huge choice. The service at the hotel has been second to none on both of our visits. The reception staff are more than happy to help, the rooms are kept spotlessly clean and the dining room staff are extremely efficient. This year we requested a room on the front of the hotel with a balcony which was perfect. If you want tea/coffee facilities in the room you need to request this at reception. The hotel itself is situated about a 10/15 minute walk from Marconi underground station and so you have to be prepared to walk but we felt very safe in the area, even at night. Alternatively there is a bus route which runs into the city from the top of the road. There is not a huge choice of restaurants in the area but the hotel do recommend La Masarda and La Rosa which are ok. There is a chinese restaurant at the top of the street which is good and they do takeaways. We will definitely return as there is so much to see in Rome that you cannot do it all in one trip.
“Rome 2010”
The staying was excellent. The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms are very clean but a little small. The breakfast was great and the location is good for the price if you are willing to walk to the metro station or take the bus to the center of Rome. I would definitely stay at the hotel again. There is no parking at the hotel however there were plenty of parking spots in the street in front of the hotel, which was great. We often walked to the metro station and took the metro to visit the city attractions. If you are in Rome for a few days would be better to get the tourist pass (valid for 3 days) and you can use in all public transportations. Be aware of pick-pocketing in public and crowded areas. Make sure you carry a copy of your passport, very few credit cards and not much money.
“Perfect”
The hotel is great. Very clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfasts are great for filling up for a day's walking around Rome.
