We stayed in the room with a balcony and it was just perfect. The location could not have been better. Lots of dining options and very walkable. The staff were super friendly and helpful making recommendations for dining. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights, for a mini break to Rome the hotel is located in the most perfect spot for walking to all the main tourist spots..the colosseum is around the corner! Around a 20 minute straight walk from Termini station. Our room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable (needed after all the sight seeing!) The staff were exceptional, if you have a late flight you can store the luggage after check out. Would recommend a stay for certain. Thank you Hotel Romano!

The hotel is located in the middle of several restaurants and down the street from the Colosseum. There is also a metro stop close by. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the room was clean. It was a very solid base for exploring the city.

For sheer convenience, nothing glamorous, just a place to sleep, if you’re planning a pure tour of the history of Rome, a great little (and I mean little) hotel. Situated literally just round the corner from the Colosseum. Within walking distance of all the other major tourist sites as well. Also, across the road some of the best Gelato you’ll ever have.

Very affordable and close to the Roman forum. AC could have been better but location was great! Staff was great! Was able to check in early However shower was small. Bed was close to the door… but again great for last minute stay.

The 24-hour reception is available to solve any problem of this kind.We are a small hotel of n. 2 stars in a historic building where the spaces are the original ones. It is a building from the 1400s, structural changes cannot be made. Wonderful stay at lovely Hotel Romano!
Excellent stay at this delightful boutique hotel in fabulous centro storico Rome location! We had a lovely room with amazing view of the ancient Roman Forum area! Loved the pretty room decor and the room was extremely clean and very well appointed with mini fridge, safe, storage areas, chair, table, very comfortable bed, and spacious spotlessly clean bathroom.The air conditioning worked great. There was even a cordial welcome note and surprise bottle of Prosecco, wow! The hotel is located just off Via dei Fori Imperiali - a wonderful location! The staff of this hotel are very polite and helpful and made our stay very pleasurable, especially dear Sabrina who answered any questions and assisted with our reservations and also Romulo at the front desk. Breakfast isn't served but there is a nice little coffee shop next door which serves delicious coffees and juices, pastries and sandwiches. We definitely enjoyed our stay at lovely Hotel Romano and hope to return again! Thank you so very much to all the Staff for a really great stay!! Sincerely, Veronica

The property was a nice property in a good location to see the tourist sites. It was small and the bathroom was really small. The air condiitoner did not cool the room enough.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room looked like the photos. The bathroom was very small but I think that is how the hotels are in Italy. Great location walking distance to many attractions.

Please read the wholenreview. This hotel is worth it. As many reviews have noted, no one on the property speaks English. Butnyou are in Italy in the time of Google Translate, so that really doesnt matter. The initial check-in was a but confusing, so i would just recommend calling the number before you arrive so the host can be there to let you in. This is only a thing the first time, and then you can get in and out easily from there. Walking into the courtyard below, we were doubting our choice, but once you walk into the part that is actually MeclaSuites, you won't regret it. It is impeccably clean and the rooms are large and luxurious. The host and staff are very sweet, and while they are not always there at night, during the day they are ready and willing to help with anything. He brought someone who gave us a good price to do a whole large suitcase of laundry and delivered it next day smelling wobderfully. He personally walked us to a barber shop when my husband wanted his haircut. He offered to call us a taxi to the train station. The showers in our suite were large and had two shower heads. We loved the bed. The location is so easy to navigate around the galleria, restaurants, shopping, and is close to the castle, etc. We would do this all over again and recommend it to others. It really is a gem of a place and im so glad we found it.

Dear Customer,Thank you for your review but I think you may have mixed up with another establishment.The Roman hotel has a reception that is always open 24 hours a day and everyone speaks English fluently, some also French, German, Spanish and Arabic.We are in the historic center in front of the imperial forums between the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia. Great location and great service. It was clean but the overpowering smell of perfume in the hallways was a little much. Old building, so probably is masking the old musky smell. Surprisingly quiet in the room considering it is on a very busy street.

Lovely stay, super close to colloseum and forums, amazing view from the Terrance, complementary Prosecco, lively area restaurants all around! Only thing was our check in was pushed back 1.5hours which was rough after a long flight but overall worth it and we would def stay here again.

Awesome location, beyond any expectations. The Colosseum metro station is only 300 meters away, the same distance from the Vittoriano memorial. The ruins of the famous Forum just across a small street. Amazing front desk staff, very friendly, always ready to help with any requests. I would not like to single out anyone, but Mariella was literally a friend. There are many restaurants, pizzerias, ice cream shops around. Nevertheless, the room was not noisy, although the window overlooked a cluster of restaurants.The building of the single-entrance hotel itself stands out among the neighboring ones for its cleanliness and well-groomedness. Inside, everything is beautifully and lovingly decorated, there is a small elevator, but it's nice to walk up the marble stairs. The single room is small, a little cramped, but cozy and has everything you need, especially since I came to the room almost only to spend the night. Before arrival, I asked for a kettle and cups in the room, because the boutique hotel format did not include breakfast. I was very pleased that my request was not only fulfilled, but the hotel granted an assortment of tea and sugar. By the way, the hotel offers a discount for its guests for Italian breakfast in a street bar right at the door of the hotel. The room has a mini-bar in case you urgently need water or drinks. To sum up, my 7 night stay at the Romano Boutique Hotel was very comfortable and I would highly recommend this hotel for a short or long stay in Rome

Fantastic hotel
This should definitely be awarded more than 2 stars! We had an amazing stay. All the staff were really friendly and we were given a map of the city which the staff citcled all the places worth visiting. Our room was spacious, stylish, such a comfortable bed! We were given a small bottle of prosecco and chocolate on the pillow which was a lovely touch. Shower was nice and powerful. Only slight negative is that its a bit noisy at night as quite a few restaurants outside so bring ear plugs. There is an amazing pastry shop next door where we got fresh pastries for breakfast which were also delicious. The location of this hotel is perfect as you can walk to all the main sites. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others
