“Very good hotel”
We were very pleased with this hotel. Location is great and a nice little hotel for the price. Front desk was very helpful and attentive. Would definitely recommend it.
“Friendly, helpful staff, great Value!!!”
This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Great Value, very Clean, with very helpful staff. Simple european breakfast was included with fresh espresso, or other coffees. Short walk (10 min or less) to Roma Termini Train Station, not bad at all with roll aboard luggage - cab ride was 6 euros. Can walk to all major attactions, except Vatican city, but Metro station is literally right around the corner - Take red line 2 stops down and drops you and the Vatican. Cant beat it for 100 USD
“Absolutely Fabulous”
This Hotel was highlight of our Italian travel. Excellant facility, gracious and helpful staff. Wonderful value. Well located to sites as well as convenient to transportation options. Has a lift which is really great for those who have lots of luggage due to extended travel period. Cannot say enough great things about this facility. Highly recommend.
“Small but clean”
We stayed two nights total, one at the beginning and one at the end of a cruise in June 2010. The first night we were given a very small room (they said we could move to the Hotel Sonya if it was a problem), but it was clean, quiet, and dark. Bed was comfortable but pillows were really hard...though I think there were extras in the closet that may have been better. (Too tired to notice when I fell into bed, and not bad enough to get up in the middle of the night to sort it out.) Second night we were in a larger room with windows that opened onto Via Firenze. In both rooms blackout shades were very effective. No US power outlets so bring an adapter. Front desk helped us arrange transportation (by taxi) to Civitavecchia port and FCO airport and were helpful and responsive to other requests. Free wifi (and they'll loan you a laptop if you need one). Only complaint is that there is *no signage* outside the hotel labeling it as Hotel Opera Roma, so we walked well past the first time. (It's right next to Hotel Centro, which does have a sign; the Hotel Opera Roma has a cool yellow/black/white marble floor design--think optical illusions--in the vestibule.)
“Stay here!!! You won't be disappointed.”
This hotel was very convenient to the train station (termini) and made travel to and from the airport and other places easy. It is centrally located and easy to walk to many attractions. The price can not be beat for the location, cleanliness and all other factors (nice showers, good breakfast items, etc). The neighborhood is nice (go to Cafe Bohemia for dinnner - great suggestion by Reza and Litu at the hotel) and safe. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable (and yes, we are used to our "American" conveniences and were concerned, and the Hotel Opera Roma did not disappoint). It is on a quieter side street next to the Opera building. Reza and Litu were very helpful! We hope to go back someday! You won't be disappointed.
“Excellent service”
Fantastic service - wonderful breakfast buffet. The people were available for any of our questions, and went out of their way to please us. We arrived early Monday morning at the Rome airport, got to our hotel at 9:30 AM. We were not scheduled for check-in to our room until afternoon, but they allowed us to go to our room immediately, since it was ready. There was no additional charge for the extra hours, and we were able to catch up on our sleep. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.
“Good location”
Conveniently located near to the Termini station which made journeys to sites easy. The reception staff were polite, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. As we were in Rome over a Sunday and Monday we asked for recommendations of restaurants for our evening meals and were directed to nearby establishments which proved to be very good. The only problem we encountered was at breakfast on Sunday. The dining room is small and it was full when we went down. We had to wait in reception for a table to become free. As soon as one was ready a member of staff immediately informed us. Overall very satisfied and if we should return to Rome would stay here again.
“Hotel Opera Roma, Rome”
We were extremely pleased with this hotel. When we arrived we were allocated the suite which was superb. The room was very spacious and we made good use of the jacuzzi. The breakfast was varied and enjoyable and the dining room, although small, was light and nicely furnished. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was well placed for buses, trains and the Metro. In all, a very enjoyable experience.
“Great hotel, great location!”
Fabulous breakfast and great location. Very close to the Termini station, where we were dropped off by the airport shuttle and later picked up our rental car. Very helpful staff, gave very good directions.
