“Charming small hotel”
Hotel Milton Roma was an excellent base for my 5 day tour of Rome. Besides being clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet was amazing, staff helpful - supplied tour map and directions - the location is convenient to Metro, buses and walking to the coliseum and charming restaurants. I especially enjoyed being able to use their bikes for local touring.
“Exceeded my expectations”
I couldn't be happier. The room would have been small for a couple, but as a single it was perfect. Spartan in furnishings, but very comfortable. Twin bed, a desk and chair, plus a small portable table for your luggage. Large armoire with a small safe and a two-drawer chest, and a very modern and clean bathroom with partial-glass enclosed European shower, sink, toilet and bidet. All of which were immaculate, and cleaned daily. The room also had a very large window that opened onto a courtyard. I couldn't figure out the thermostat, but it didn't matter. I left the window open at night and slept comfortably. Room also includes a nice flat-screen TV with remote. Unfortunately, there was no alarm clock, and the helpful staff promised to give me a wake up call. They forgot the first night, but remembered the next. You might want to bring a travel alarm clock instead. Minor complaint. Larger rooms may have one.
“Great hotel for the price and would definately go back”
The Milton Roma is a lovely hotel very close to the colosseum (5 mins walk),and with a metro station right outside the front doors travelling around the city was painless. The rooms were above average with no major flooding from the shower! The staff were very helpful and friendly especially lornette the barmaid who translated nearly a whole italian episode of deal or no deal for us whilst keeping us stocked up with chianti! Great breakfast including pizza although cooked sliced ham as bacon wasnt the best!! we would definitely stay at the hotel milton again.
“Great Hotel”
Very good location as it is literally across the street from a metro stop and a bus stop is just down the street. The staff was amazing, anything we needed they were there to help and beyond polite and helpful. Breakfast was good, a great base for a long day of walking. I would stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel as it was a great value for money.
“Recommend”
Although we could hear quite a few ambulances going by (Rome seems to like their sirens) that isn't the hotel's fault. It had a good location, easy to get to the major attractions on the Red Line.
“A Roman Gem”
This hotel was wonderful! The concierge and all of the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Within walking distance to the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Forum. I highly recommend this hotel.
“Good Quality Rome Hotel”
Stayed in the Hotel Milton Roma for 3 nights during November and found the hotel a great base for exploring Rome. Firstly there is a metro stop outside the hotel which can get to the other side of Rome within minutes, and if you prefer to walk on your travels then the view as you turn the corner and walk towards the Colloseum is fantastic. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection and served from 7am - 11pm. Staff were very helpful and polite. Though not near many sites this hotel was a great base from which to enjoy the sites of Rome, nicely tucked away in a quieter district were you could get some sleep after a long day sightseeing.
“Will Definitely Go back”
Excellent hotel and very good location..the Metro is just opposite the hotel which makes it very easy to go to places in just few minutes....we really enjoyed our stay...however the best part of it was the lovely breakfast...they even served bacon and scrambled eggs and the room had tea/coffee making facility....
“would stay there again”
The Hotel Milton had everything we were looking for - clean accommodation, handicapped friendly, staff helpful (and spoke good English), excellent breakfast (large buffet), well situated (near subway and bus), close to attractions. Unfortunately, the subway station right outside was closed. Unable to take a shower without putting water on the floor.
“Very Nice”
We really enjoyed staying at the Hotel Milton. The staff was very nice and helped us when we had any questions. We wished it had been a little more centrally located, but it was very near a metro stop so it was still very easy to get around.
