“great location for neat hotel”
Hotel Lunetta is recently renovated and lovely. We were upgraded from a double room to a queen with a view since we were staying 11 nights. The room had two chairs, wi-fi, safe, robe, slippers, large shower, desk. Wifi is also available in the common areas. Breakfast is included in a lovely area with an excellent array of food: eggs, bacon, breads, meats, cheeses, pastries, torte, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereals, juices, and all the cappuccino you can drink. Our only problem was the room getting hot a couple of nights, but that was addressed. The staff is friendly and helpful, with a concierge. She made reservations for us for Villa Borghese. They also have tours available, but we did not take any of them. The location is great, just off Campo de Fiori (see Fodor's Rome in Full Color pp.144-150). The Campo is super for a cappuccino or a meal, and also fun shopping. We are big walkers, so were very happy with the hotel's location. We took public transportation only a couple of days and walked everywhere else. Several evenings we walked the short distance over the river to Trastevere for dinner.
“Fabulous Hotel and a great price”
The Hotel Lunetta was a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect walking distances (no more than 15 minute walk) to all the big sites, most are closer. The hotel itself is beautiful from the lobby to the breakfast room to the rooms themselves. Very clean, and big rooms, with great TV system. The staff is so helpful and speaks english. My wife and I will always stay at the Lunetta everytime we go to Rome.
“Che bella lunetta”
Loved tris funky newly renovated hotel in the heart of Rome, close to Campo Di Fiori and Piazza Navone. Our family of four stayed 4 nights in the suite and we loved it! Friendly staff, private elevator, terrace, quiet, beautiful big bathroom, close to restaurants and a great selection of treats for breakfast. The only down side was that our 2 boys had to share a sofa bed and the rooms were a little small for three grown ups and child but not a problem as we were out all day after all it is the eternal city of Rome!!
“Contemporary oasis in the ancient center of Rome”
We loved our wonderful stay at Hotel Lunetta for several days in early October. The hotel had recently ( re-opened in July) been gutted & completely remodeled in spectacular style....elegant but with beautiful contemporary decor. Even a bit quirky. New bed linens, draperies, bathroom fixtures--everything! Brand-new wood parquet floors in our room. The room was on the small side, but no smaller than most other big city hotels. Great personal service from the front desk & the housekeeping staff. Our room was immaculate & spotlessly made up every day. I selected Hotel Lunetta for it's handy location in the ancient city center. We enjoyed walking a short few blocks to either the Piazza Campo di Fiori or Piazza Farnese. No need for a taxi--we walked to all the famous tourist spots. The breakfast buffet was the only one on our trip throughout southern Italy to include not just fresh fruit, cheese, salami, yogurt & pastries, but also scrambled eggs & bacon. (Not typically Italian but my husband enjoyed 2 helpings every morning.) Freshly-made cappucino served in cool white china with silver spoons. The morning of our very early departure the buffet hadn't even opened yet. The hotel desk clerk made sure we got our favorite coffee drinks while waiting for our taxi in the lobby! Highly recommended this place to our friends!
“Beyond My Expectations”
The hotel itself is very clean and modern. Very impressive! The location is perfect-- walk to all the major sights. Right next to Campo Di Fiori & Piazza Navona is just right across the way. Great for restaurants, bars, shopping. The breakfast was great: eggs, fruit, meats, breads, juices, cappucino. You won't regret your stay! Our favorite hotel in all Italy and very reasonable for what they offer. Take a shuttle to the hotel, Termini is not walking distance with luggage.
“You should stay here!”
This hotel was awesome - great location, recently updated with high-end and modern finishes, a good breakfast selection with hot foods, and a very friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom was full size with a double vanity which was great (and seems pretty rare for hotels in Italy). It is right off of Campo di Fiori and just a few minutes from Piazza Navona (both of which are fun areas for dinner). A member of the staff personally escorted us to our room to show us the features and arranged a private car to take us back to the airport at a very reasonable price. I would DEFINITELY recommend Hotel Lunetta.
“Exceptional”
Took a risk booking this hotel as it had no reviews but it turned out to be excellent. A short stroll from Campo de Fiori puts in in one of the best locations in Rome. The hotel is in a traditional roman square but is modern and very clean with not an inch of carpet to be found. All marble halls and stairs with wooden floors in the room. Our room also had wooden beams to compliment the modern decor. The communal areas were being cleaned constantly throughout the day. Staff were very professional and helpful and even allowed us to check in 3 hrs earlier than the official 2pm check in time and stored our bags for 3 hrs after check out. The only down was that we went in July 2011 and so didnt get to experience the sauna/steam/pool which was due to open in Sept and would have been a perfect way to round off a hot days trek around the tourist spots. Would definitley stay here again and would highly recommend.
“Gem in the heart of town”
The hotel is positioned in a convenient location in the old part of town, not too far from many of the attractions. We were greeted by friendly, helpful staff and this level of service continued throughout our three day stay. The room was clean and comfortable, whilst the small but beautiful spa area provided a relaxing, welcome break after a day walking. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for couples and families alike. We look forward to returning in the the near future.
“Central hotel in Rome”
Excellent location in central area but very quiet side street. Smallish room and just had B&B but that was what we wanted. (Also a spa and sit around areas but we did not use these.) Beautifully designed with top quality traditional materials to feel slick but also traditional quirky lay out. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great shower. Good breakfast food. Would go back.
“Wonderful Stay!!”
We travelled to Paris, Florence and finally Rome for our honeymoon. We chose Hotel Lunetta for the price as well as its location. The first night we checked in our room was ok and we asked the front desk to change it. They were so helpful and switched us to a beautiful suite first thing in the morning. The bed was so comfortable, the best sleep we had the entire trip. The breakfast was great and the spa area is beautiful. Everyday after walking hours around Rome, we used the spa sauna and hot tub which was lovely and relaxing. The room was huge and very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The concierge was fabulous and answered all of our questions and provided us with directions everywhere. The roof garden, lounge area was great place to pop open a bottle of wine and just relax. The hotel is in an excellent area that is more upscale and just a short walking distance to everything there is to see in Rome. We spent most of our nights walking across the bridge to Trastevere, which is an old jewish neighborhood with great food. I recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely return.

Navona - Pantheon, Rome, Italy: In the heart of the historic centre, Piazza Navona is Romes most famous square. Like a giant stage set, this is where the theatre of daily Roman life is re-enacted among the café tables that spill out onto the fountain-splashed piazza. Berninis baroque extravaganza, the Fontana dei Quattro Fiume, is the most celebrated of the three fountains. Nearby is the Pantheon one of Romes great symbols and a marvel of ancient architecture.
